Yes, except for all the fuzzy cottonwood sticking to the chair.  The chair a neighbor drpped off for us to keep is comfy.  Too bad she only had one.

I saw the chiropractor today. He said I strained five tendons in my wrist. "One or two is common, but not five." Well, I'm thorough! He treated me and reiterated what I've been thinking about a proactive approach. I'm now shopping for a different sort of brace.

I have now gotten two very wacko e-mails from some guy who purports to know my brother and me, and is asking why I allowed a breach and that we need to heal it because death is near.  I mean, random, right?  So, I e-mailed him back after forwarding his missive to my brother and to my cousin Dee Dee, who was really freaked out by it.  I asked him to explain his e-mail.  Meanwhile, I looked up his e-mail address on Google and it led me right to his information.  He is a homeopathic "doctor" or whatever they call homeopathic people, in Escondido.

He wrote back saying more of the same, reiterating that death is near (not being specific but implying for both of us) and we need to heal and that he's known both of us for years, but only from the background and shadows.  I wrote him back a much stronger e-mail, telling him he really needed to explain himself clearly, and that I had his information and that I've forwarded his e-mails.  His stuff is showing up at the address we use when you write me from this here site, so that's obviously how he found me.  I did explain to him that while my brother and I had a contentious time growing up, that our relationship, while not close, has been completely fine since reaching adulthood.  I see him when he's in town (if I can) and we get along just fine.  This guy's next response will be key - if I don't like it or it creeps me out, I'll just pick up the phone and call him - and if I don't like the conversation, I'll pay him a little visit with some friends in tow.

BK, homeopathic or insane, he's a mess. Send this jerk's emails to your spam file.  He is a creep.

I agree. I would not respond.

The guy made another response - using words like "oracle" and other wacko stuff.  I'm done responding but will save the e-mails should I ever have need of them.

Can't you just sit on Keith's lap?  Wouldn't that be comfy, too??

DR Jeanne, I'm wondering who was the singer on MAJOR CRIMES.  Kearrann Giovanni, who plays Set. Sykes, was in the 2009 revival of Finian's Rainbow.

I didn't know that. But no, not her. There's a woman, a very attractive brunette, who plays an inexperienced prosecutor, who I was mixing up with the singer who was so arrogant and  flubbed her lyrics in one of the Kritzerland shows. My memory's not what it used to be.

DRs, my college friend Craig could use some vibes.  His son has been missing since June 17, and I know the family is going mad with worry. Supposedly, he went missing after leaving to someone he had met on a dating site.

VIBES THAT HE IS FOUND SAFE AND SOON.

BK, everyone's going to have a different feeling on how to handle something like this.  In that spirit, here's mine...

The gist of those first two emails says "police matter" to me.  I know a gal (un-PC term, in keeping with today's theme) who was being stalked and threatened by an out-of-state jerk she'd broken off a relationship with.  Her local PD was very helpful in taking the info and coordinating with his local PD who -- guess what? -- already had a file open on the guy.  And if they hadn't, they would have been happy to open one.  Problem went away.

Why are you even bothering? Let him be nutty all by himself.

I'm not a fan of frivolous lawsuits, but I'm glad the guy in Virginia won after hearing a tape of his anesthesiologist and a doctor trash him while he was undergoing a colonoscopy. Their behavior was wholly unprofessional.

I concur.

BTW, I haven't done an update on the bad arm and shoulder problems I was having, that wouldn't quit.  Well, time, I suppose, eventually heals, because it's all fine now.

I'm back on the Big computer, but it was behaving this way last December before it crashed and I fear it's on its last legs.

Wednesday evening greetings!  We had a slow morning and left about 11 to enjoy the Pacific Coast.  Drove out to Point Pinos at the tip of the Monterey Peninsula and down to the Pacific Grove entrance to the 17 Mile Drive.  Took that to Carmel, making several stops along the way.  We got lost in a couple of Carmel neighborhoods, but eventually found the Mission and spent an hour or so doing the self-guided tour.  Had a late lunch at a Swiss restaurant and made our way back to Cannery Row.  We may go out for ice cream later - or not.

I remember Romper Room, but I never watched it.  I was a little too old for it by the time I heard about it.  We used to live in Germany when my dad was in the army, so those were probably the years that the show would've been appropriate for me, but I don't think it was on in Germany at that time.

Oh, yes, the Romper Room "teacher" in Detroit was named Ardis Kenealy, but we kids called her Miss Ardis.
