Hmmmm.....when I go to a new page of comments, I am sent to the bottom of the page instead of the top.

I didn't change any settings or anything......am I alone in this dilemma?

Fire alarm has gone off in the building. And with that, all the doors between buildings close off. Feels very claustrophobic.

I forgot to ask this yesterday, and I may forget by next Wednesday.

MR BK - you should talk to your tax man about applying for your social security benefit.  That way you would be signed up for Medicare and Medicare Part B (paid for from your SS benefit).  I don't think your income would be a factor in getting your benefit.....but please check it out.....

You paid for it from your income....and continue to do so....if you were born between January 2, 1943, and January 1, 1955, you get full benefits and can make as much income as you wish.  There's a booklet here to read.

Films in which I find Dustin Hoffman's performances to be exemplary:

The Graduate
Little Big Man
Tootsie
Agatha

By and large, I'm not a huge Hoffman fan.  I blame this on his special appearances on the Oscars when he introduced special achievement Oscar winners.   I also find him a bit "much" in some of his performances and I'm aware that he's "acting" in that "special Hoffman way".

The bottom of the page syndrome seems to be happening on other sites, so I am assuming it is something awry in my system.

I shall restart my computer and see what happens.

No Supreme Court decision on marriage equality today. That leaves either tomorrow (an anniversary date for two key previous related rulings) or next Monday.

Darn.

DR ChasSmith and I, with the help of my super and his family, got this heavy 5-drawer filing cabinet into my apartment.  I can start housekeeping as soon as i finish this post.  we then had a lovely lunch at Artie';s and went our separate ways.

The only polite word for Michael in 5D, who told me twice he wanted my 4-drawer file but never came to see it, is Dumb Ass.  Today he said that he and his wife had two wooden cabinets and were passing.  So . . . I have to see if anyone else in the building wants it before I pitch it.  I always thought he was a bit of a creep, but now I know he's stupid one as well.

And I am back, from a delightful visit with DR Elmore and an amazingly beautiful drive home.  There were delays here and there going into the city this morning, but the highways (and tomorrow) belonged to ME coming back.

I'm starting to feel like a regular at Artie's, and that's a nice thing to say.  Okay, semi-regular.  But that's good, too.

A fine day all around.  There should only be more of them.

I am tired!  Still pissed over that jerk on the 5th floor.

DR ChasSmith, the new filing cabinet is fantastic and everything is put into them, with half a drawer free, and I already know what I will do with it.  I am very pleased.  Thank you for making the effort to get this cabinet to me and for your fantastic friendship.

And for every friend I've made on this site, thank you, BK. HHW is the best.

Back from soup and a sandwich and greeted with the news that Patrick Macnee has dies.  What a long and wonderful life - 93 years old.  I shall celebrate him in the notes - he was so wonderful to work with.

I have worked with Dustin Hoffman and his company Punch Productions twice, and I love him. When I helped him with the Peter Hall production of The Merchant of Venice, he gave me a beautiful Christmas gift of embossed stationery.  I haven't seen him in about 20 years, but I remember his kindness.

He's also very shy, as I discovered the first time I helped him at The Drama Book Shop.

At 93, I guess we should celebrate his long life rather than say how sad it is that he's died, but how sad.

Was an Avengers addict from the very first episode that I saw.
