Meeting has been pushed up to six-fifteen - so no jog today - was going to do it at six.

Just watched "Fresh Off the Boat." I think it's pretty good.  Anyone else watch it?

I'm curious as to what was so offensive in The Bad Seed!

On my way to Orchestra Hall to see/hear the film Singing in the Rain, accompanied by a live orchestra. This is the same technique they used with West Side Story last year, where they eliminate everything on the soundtrack but the voices and the sound effects. Just HOW the conductor keeps everything aligned to the micro-second, I know not, but it involves earbuds and a very strange screen with different shapes and colors.

Sounds like fun, DR singdaw!

I have been working on the computer while standing at the kitchen counter so I don't really feel like talking.  I hope to order a desk tomorrow.

Well, I must be off.  Tonight, I'm going to a staged reading of a book written by a local author.

I'm going to pick up my sister who wants to go because she knows the author.

I've been resting.  I'm going to go to bed soon.  I really want to get the house clean this weekend.  Even though it's my b'day weekend, it's going to be very hot out and I don't like heat.  So I'm planning to stay in and clean.  I may go to a movie but I really want to have the house clean before I have surgery.   I will likely have people in and out and I really don't want to sit here thinking about how I should have cleaned the house

A young client I helped a few years ago brought me a birthday cake, a beautiful bouquet and a visa gift card today.  I helped him pro bono and every year he brings me a cake (tres leches) flowers and a gift.  He's so sweet.  He's so thoughtful it just amazes me he continues to do this year after year

So, book sale season is upon us in this part of the world, and I think I'll get up and attend the first of my four tomorrow.

I no longer go to these intending to load up the car with cheap finds.  Been there, done that.  Gotten rid of it.  Nowadays I only hope to score the occasional treasure, and I shall hope to return from these with but a handful of something I'll really appreciate having.

If I return with nothing, then that's fine, too.  It's a cheap morning out, no harm done.
