Congrats to DR AMY on her millstone.

Vibes for DR TCB on his surgery!

I have just learned that my dad will indeed be returning home today.  He will be on oxygen, but he will be home.

I kept falling asleep so I came home.

I think I will take a nap before my Gotham Geek shows up.

I'm up, I'm up - close to nine hours of sleep, which I really needed, but alas, the morning seems to be over.

But I enjoyed them.  My dad loves "The Fifth Element."  I've never seen it...yet.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  I've been busy getting ready for tonight's book group meeting here - cupcakes are done, living/dining room cleaned, kitchen cleaned up.  Soon I'll get myself cleaned up and attempt to unmold the Jello - pray for Rosemary's baby...

I am doing well today.  Didn't sleep well last night, I just couldn't get to sleep then we had a downpour for quite a while which is very loud on a slate roof.  We got 2.25 inches of rain.  We needed it.  But I discovered a little trickle of water in the basement, so....I found someone who can clean gutters and called him.  He'll be by tomorrow to do that.  I also called the company that is going to do the basement repair an scheduled it for October.  Then I put in the call to schedule an electrician to fix the plug for the new sump pump that will be installed in October.  And a friend stopped over briefly this morning.  She had her husband had a landscaping business for years.   She offered to mow my yard and although I initially said no, I called her back and said yes.   So she's coming over tomorrow to mow for me.

I did all of that, except walking outside with the gutter guy from my recliner.

Now I am going to go upstairs and take a nap.   I don't know what time my friend Fiona is coming over, but she can always call and wake me up.

When the nurse called today, I told her that I was surprised there wasn't more pain (not asking for it, just surprised)  She told me that they use a numbing medication internally when they do the surgery and that's why there is less pain.  Interesting. Not sure if that's something new or not, but I sure like the idea

Boy, I wish they'd had that internal numbing thing when I had my surgeries. I hurt so bad.
