So, Ginny, you recommend the book, AWC?

DR TCB, I liked it, but some of our group members did not.  Betty thought it trivialized the women's lives.  There's a lot of fashion talk, too.  If you decide to read it, do so with an actual book.  It doesn't really lend itself to either an audio version or an e-book.

This morning I woke to my gutter guy cleaning the gutters.   Now Pam just showed up. She's going to mow the yard.  I feel very blessed to have the help.

And you are wisely resting :)

I'm going to try to take a nap now.  Pam said I don't look as good as I did yesterday and I don't feel as good.  I think a little more sleep may help

The hospital pain meds must be wearing off.

Ginny, the jello looks lovely. I'll have a Florida-sized portion.

Thanks, DR John G!  Did you notice that I had to put a toothpick in to keep the red layer of Florida from sliding off?

I was wondering what that was for. :)

My friends thought it was there to mark the location of Cape Canaveral.

;D  Now that would have been clever.

My eye doctor's office confirmed that I am exactly the same place with my left eye that I was my right eye at 24 hours.  His assistant called the memory trick to be a result of the "Wow" factor.  The first surgery gives you the vivid colors and the sharpness of shapes, so you tend to view (pardon the pun) the progress differently.

Actually everything looks wonderful now.

Excellent news!

Well, don't know how much real rest I got today.  Between the gutter cleaner, Pam mowing and then the deck guys showing up a week early to start ripping out my deck, there was a lot of activity around here

I am going to hire the guy who did the gutters to mow for the rest of the summer.  I really shouldn't be doing it.

Well, after a beautiful, low-humidity day yesterday, it's starting to get muggy again.  And a high of 98 on Sunday. Ugh!

Our heat index was well over 100 degrees today. I can't believe that this is the day all the outside workers showed up at my house.

I was imagining you comfortably in a chair while others did the work.  Too bad the deck guy was early.

A reminder you needed to hire someone to do the lawn, and that you must take it easy.

Well, I'm now going to leave work and go to my parents' house.  A friend of theirs that we've known since we lived in Germany in the late 60s lives in Spokane and regularly visits because one of her sons lives here in Olympia.  She's visiting this weekend and staying with my parents.  I'm going to visit, also.

Until later!

I am supposed to get up and move around and not just sit.  It' strange to eat things and not have it hurt.  Not sure that's beneficial for my upcoming diet
