Then there were the nightmares, something with my brother Randy and I looking a missing young couple whom I believe were friends of his.  My memories vague on the plot aspects, but there was something about about abduction and torture, creepy southern Ohio mountain folk out of Deliverance, and riding with Randy along the banks of the Ohio river.  My only solid memory is a stop ast a rather creepy diner and spilling soup with chunks of meat onto the floor and mopping it up.

I had a very restless night, slept quite poorly.  Maybe I shopuld gave watched Judi Dench in The Cherry Orchard instead of Absolute Hell.

Today, I'm not leaving the apartment; I'll work on Moross, maybe watch Judi Dench in The Cherry Orchard, and work on the Moross score.

DR vixmom, I'm sorry to hear of the family situation.  It only gets worse from here.

As it turns out, I'm not leaving the house.  Car won't be ready till tomorrow because they have to repair cracks on both front wheel rims.  (They get sent out to a welder.)

Rather impressive front wheel and tire problems are what made me think I had a steering issue.

Malt balls, anyone?

Interesting looking cake.  I think getting all those malted milk balls on in such perfect rows would be a challenge for me.

I was lucky my father could afford to have someone live with him.  Emotionally coping with his dementia was difficult but he always knew who we were and was happy in his own home.

My mother in-law did not have dementia, she simply needed help at home and asked my brother in-law to move in with her.  Again we were lucky.

Just caught up with yesterday's notes.

BK, how did you have the stomach to listen to so much of Patty Duke singing? At least she didn't record her performance of Phyllis in Follies with Vicki Carr as Sally.

Published on July 3rd (4 days before my surgery), MISS DINAH SHORE seems to be selling okay on its own.  I certainly haven't felt well enough to promote it until now.  As I told my publisher, people will either want to read a biography of Dinah Shore, or they won't.  Thankfully, I guess they do.   :)

We watched DRIVING MISS DAISY with James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury last night.

Enjoyed it, but it took me awhile to get used to the fact that I was watching a theatrical performance on television.

The doctor says it's going to be, at least, another two weeks before I can put any weight on my left foot.

I hate being so dependent on other people.  I particularly worry about my wife, who has had 4 back surgeries and has to be there for me to lean on her when I need to get up.

Mark and I made Bruce's tuna pasta salad for the first time last night, and put in the fridge to chill overnight. It was very yummilicious this morning, albeit a bit dry, even with the extra tablespoon of mayonnaise. Bruce, when you say, "tablespoon" are you referring to the measuring kind of tablespoon, or the kind that you eat with (which is significantly larger)?
