Wanton golfers eating wontons.

Won Ton Tacos at Applebee's.

Is that a real dish?  Sounds great!

They are incredible.  Yes, they are a real appetizer.

While some may think I'm over doing it, I'm not.   I've been busy at work but when it hits about 3:00 and I get tired, I wind things down and come home.   My doctor cleared me to lift things last Friday.  He said if it hurts don't lift it otherwise I'm fine.   And my exercise is primarily walking. Not doing anything else.

I downloaded Windows 10 today.  My laptop was a Windows 8 and I hated it.  I like this much better

I am purposely not following the dentist-lion killer story very closely, but from the bits and pieces that I have heard, it is looking worse and worse for him.

I am glad to read this.

The porto-potties have arrived at the Annette house - that does not bode well for the future and I suspect the house will be gone in a week.  I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't know who would buy a house and let it sit for a year, other than a developer looking to tear down and build and make a quick turnaround profit.

It probably took a year to get the building permit for the new house.

I expect you are right.

After lunch I went to Central Pastry to replace the items I'd bought for Mom on Monday (we ate those, knowing they'd be stale by today) and visited her unannounced.  She was OK, which I expected because if something acute happens the nurse calls me.  Don't know what was going on the other day.

I am glad the visit went well.  Did she enjoy the treats?

I'm into "Father Brown" and "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries" these days.

My brother likes Father Brown but we couldn't get it in Ashland.  We watched the first episode the other night.  I hope the improve.

Recovery vibes to DR Ginny.

Thanks, DR Jeanne.  I'm fine, and reassured that I made the right decision not to put my 96-year-old mother through the cardiology work-up the ER recommended last February.  Her assisted living doctor agreed with me and so does my sister.  Couldn't see her withstanding either the echocardiogram like I had yesterday or a nuclear stress test.

You absolutely made the rigt decision.

I just threw a little money at a "problem":  I bought a power washer for cleaning the deck.  It's a low-powered one, which is all you want for deck or siding work, and will do so much better than scrubbing the thing like a charwoman.  So that is my day tomorrow, getting the dirt and mildew out of the wood.  And then I can go buy the stain or paint or whatever I'm going with.

Power washers are great.  I'm glad wedon't need one anymore :)

I've had a few encounters with raccoons. They can be quite aggressive. They're also heavy enough that when they're on your roof you really wonder what the dickens is up there.

A few years ago, there were several local cats that had been attacked (and a couple killed!) by some raccoons. :o

Small animals are not safe from them.

Bruce if you had a dog you would have known you had raccoons sooner.  Dogs are very good at finding and rolling in raccoon poop.

Back from a jog and seeing another first for me in Studio City - a free-roaming coyote.  One can only wonder what the HELL is going on here.

I thought they were all over the valley now.

It was an evening of book readings by local authors.

A couple of the books haven't been published yet, so we had a world premiere experience!

One of the plays that will be featured in Theater Artists Olympia's next production, "An Improbable Peck of Plays 4," which opens in two weeks (I'll be running the sound board), was also featured.

One author read her own work, and the rest were essentially dramatic readings by actors who know how to act, and act well.

The theater was practically filled...which isn't difficult when the event is free and there are only about 40 seats.
