Here is a section of the big opening number of OLD FAITHFUL. And bk is right; it has to be seen to be believed!        :)

BK, thanks for the tip on the new book.  it's now on my amazon wishlist.

I've added it to my wishlist, also...and on Monday, I'll put in a request for purchase at work.  It's brand new and probably not legitimately reviewed (Kirkus, Publisher's Weekly, etc.), but maybe the selector will buy it anyway.

I have just been asked to be a guest speaker in October for Michael J. Colligan History Project at Miami University Hamilton and the Mad Anthony Theatre Company of the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton, Ohio.

Congrats, Larry!  Even if you don't go, it's nice to have been asked.

Well, my aunt is still in the hospital. :P More than likely, she'll be released tomorrow.  My sister and I went to visit her today and spent a couple of hours with her.  We played Phase 10 (the family's favorite game...I won!) and chatted and had a nice time.

I'm now just about to leave for the theater.  Tonight is the official opening night for Theater Artists Olympia's "An Improbable Peck of Plays, Vol. IV."  I don't know how many tickets have sold, but I'm sure that overall we'll do well with this show.  We have in the past.

I have a little meeting at eight.  I'm still VERY full from the mac-and-cheese lunch, so not sure what I'll have - maybe just a sandwich, or maybe something even smaller like pudding.

Tonight, one of the board members is having a surprise movie night birthday party for a friend.  I know the friend, so I'm going after our show is over.

The friend just thinks that she's coming over for a private party, but a WHOLE bunch of theater folk are going to come over and watch a movie that'll be projected on the side of the board member's garage.

There's supposed to be another surprise for the wife of the board member, but I don't remember what he's planning for her.  Anyway, it'll be a late night and a lot of fun with people I know.

Good evening from Rome, New York.

Well, I said I'd be scarce, and by God scarce I was.  Do I win a prize?

Just caught up with the posts from late last night and all day today, and of course today's notes.  Lots of stuff that should be commented on, and it will be, but I'm on the verge pulling a vixmom and falling asleep at this here iPad, so it will have to happen at another time.
