On the way home, I stopped at the local supermarket chain and discovered that they were selling copies of my barbecue book.

Yay!  That's wonderful, John G.

Did they ask you to autograph any of them?  Or did you stay quiet about it?

I stayed quiet. They wouldn't care. But the chain, H-E-B,  covers the state of Texas with hundreds of stores. That's good news.

DR JRand64 beat me to it.

Good family news from DR George.

Bad medical news from DR vixmom.  Sheesh!  Would it cost any less if they just pulled everything and gave you dentures?

it would actually --- but do i want to go that road........?  Is 58 too young to be a toothless crone> (in this day  and age... in Elizabethan times well the answer would be yes)

Is this for implants?  That would be my option.

George, I'm glad your aunt is doing better and out of the hospital. I hope she continues to do well.

Thanks, Jeanne and Jrand and Singdaw!  I just had a visit with her at my sister's house.  She's tired, but feeling much better.

Great to hear the good news about your aunt, George!

Thanks, Fred!

Vixmom

I've had a lot work done of the past few years. I don't recommend having teeth pulled. Go for implants and crowns. I think you'll be happier with the results.

Watched a bootleg of a dreary Sondheim revue called A Bed and a Chair. If your idea of fun is to hear Bernadette Peters sing The Ladies Who Lunch in a mash-up with Norm Lewis and Jeremy Jordon singing Agony, well, that was the highlight.

There should be a moratorium on Sondheim revues.

Yes.  It was originally decided to start later to help with the heat, and even though today was fairly cool (and it even rained a bit), it's still been warmish and muggy and not terribly cool in the theater.
