The best thing about today being Thursday is that there is a double eviction in the Big Brother house tonight.

And another good thing is that the second Project Runway episode of the new season airs tonight.

Both air at the same time.

Went back to sleep at eight-thirty and slept till now. So, amazingly I think that's about seven and a half hours - better than three. Very groggy, though.

I watched the first episode of this season's Pwoject Wunway last night OnDemand.

I think I would have sent the OTHER of the two last place contestants home....but they were both terrible.

I don't really have a favorite yet....it's very early.....but it seems like a rather lackluster bunch.....maybe there will be some standouts tonight.

As to the designer who was kicked off: it raises the ancient question - Do the designers really have to do their own sewing in real life?

One of the questioners was really mean, I thought, asking the designer to either: (a) agree that what they did was a mess (in which case it would be see, they admit they created a mess) or (b) to defend their work (in which case they didn't see what was wrong with what they did and the questioner treated it as just as bad).

It's a lose-lose question for a judge who's in power to ask of the designer, and I thought a bit hateful.

I agree. Each of those designers presented a body of work to qualify for the show. They each have a process that is not just "a few hours" in which to create a look. Project Runway exacts a toll. I thought Nina was particularly ugly about Nathan's inexperience. So was Heidi. He was forthright and polite. And Nina was wrong about one thing in particular: Project Runway most definitely IS a learning experience. I thought "Pistachio" should have gone. Her looks are going to be a hoot, I fear.
