LINGER LONGER

Well, you've read the notes, the notes lingered longer, and now it is time for you to post until the lingering cows come home.

I'm now listening to a Steve Lawrence double-header that he issued on his own label.  Now apparently Steve and Eydie ended up owning their masters - how that happened is anyone's guess, but since neither of them paid for their damn records, I never quite understand why any record company would allow such a thing.  But the problem is, they don't appear to have actually gotten the master tapes back or if they did they didn't get the stereo tapes because everything they reissued on CD is in mono and frankly they reek of LP transfers.  Shame on them - these were some of the best stereo records ever.  This is what happens when you make stupid deals with people who don't know enough or care enough to release their own work properly.  It's shameful.

Fascinated to read BK's discussion about the lighting designer's comments on the script.

Not sure why a lighting designer needs script approval but that's just me I guess.

Good morning, all.

A decent sleep was had -- with no weird dreams, as far as I recall.

Good morning. I accidentally set my calendar alarm for 5 a.m. instead of 5 p.m.

Good morning, all!  I stayed up too late watching FOYLE'S WAR Season 3.  Then, i had a lot of strange dreams. I remember my friend Debbie Gravitte was in one, and another was about Wagner's opera THE FLYING DUTCHMAN.

I dragged myself out of bed around 9:15.

Speaking of FOYLE'S WAR, my friend Barry Koron deciphered what classical piece its theme reminded mw of: Faure's Pavane, orchestrated by Claude Debussy.

The guys are here trimming the two palm trees in front.  How do you say, "Not too short- I don't want them looking like exclamation points or the erasers on pencils"  in Spanish?

Saturday morning greetings!  The high school classmate of Richard and DR Elmore whose backyard we can see from our front window is having a "retirement" garage sale today.  There's nothing we need, but I'm going to wander down there after while, just to say HI.
