It has taken about 6 years but I have nearly regained all the weight I lost back in 2008 when I went on my diet and exercise regime

I think I may need a second jog.  This evening, ever since the credit card debacle, has been most annoying - I think I need to run it off and then take a shower.  Clearly any movie watching isn't happening.

Today was the start of Restaurant Week, so I went out with friends for what promised to be a lovely meal. Well, the meal was meh. So we went to two other places after that and had much better food at a third the price. But it also meant I ate twice as much food as I should have.

Speaking of FOYLE'S WAR, my friend Barry Koron deciphered what classical piece its theme reminded mw of: Faure's Pavane, orchestrated by Claude Debussy.

I was racking my brain. It was such a familiar tune, but the composer changes after a handful of measures, and that part throws me off the trail.

I'm now listening to a Steve Lawrence double-header that he issued on his own label.  Now apparently Steve and Eydie ended up owning their masters - how that happened is anyone's guess, but since neither of them paid for their damn records, I never quite understand why any record company would allow such a thing.  But the problem is, they don't appear to have actually gotten the master tapes back or if they did they didn't get the stereo tapes because everything they reissued on CD is in mono and frankly they reek of LP transfers.  Shame on them - these were some of the best stereo records ever.  This is what happens when you make stupid deals with people who don't know enough or care enough to release their own work properly.  It's shameful.

Maybe Steve won the rights in a poker game in Vegas.

TOD: (not in any order)

Fred Astaire (underrated)
Perry Como
Bing Crosby
Andy Williams
Anthony Newley (not sure if he would be included here)
Jerry Vale
Al Martino (Vale and Martino were always in the jukebox of any self-respecting pizza joint in NY)
Mel Torme
Jack Jones
Matt Monro
Paul Anka
and, of course, Sinatra

The upstairs idiot is still up to his idiocy. He thinks he has to "entertain" every night after 11. Very conceited college punk. I sarcastically say he's having a salon with cocktails when it's really Nick and Nora Dumbkopf (perhaps a better prefix would have been scheiss, but I don't know if that's okay to use here, I apologize) with their beer swilling pals. I did finally get a new nextdoor neighbor who seems pretty okay. She has a small dog who is nice too.

BTW, I may be getting a small dog myself by the end of this month if all goes well. My doctor signed the paperwork the leasing office recommended I file so that all pet related fees will be waived. I didn't even know about that until the woman in the fron t office brought it up when I mentioned the poochini.

I do need to come up with a different name for her.

The little dog I think is around 6 pounds, and she's a chihuahua. Not my first choice, but apparently she's well-trained, housebroken and very lovable. Plus, she likes men. Not sure why as she was raised by a woman.

She's named Bella, but I don't like that. I will have to name her with a new name that rhymes or has a similar sound so I don't confuse her.

The only name I was somewhat happy with was just Ella in honor of Ella Fitzgerald. I thought of Della, in honor of either Della Reese or Perry Mason's Della Street.

A near rhyme could be Zelda as in Fitzgerald.

Went to the end of Sami's choreography rehearsal and that's looking good.  Went to Hugo's for food.  Came home to find my Paypal debit card compromised - third time in three years.  Charges in Acton California and some other town nearby at Gymboree and something called Carter's - each charge around $250.  So I'm currently out that five hundred bucks and will BE out that five hundred bucks until the transaction actually completes, then they issue a credit back into my account and that can take two days, although I'll keep my eye on the two transactions and as soon as they complete I can call and they'll release the funds right then and there.  These mofos who do this - I have only one wish for them, a slow and very, very VERY painful death and nothing but misery.  No forgiveness here - they just need to DIE.  Period.  So, they now have to issue me a new card, which will take ten days - that's fine because this old card was expiring next month.  Happily, last time this happened I'd taken their advice and got a second card so I wouldn't be without a card.  That card is activated and can be used until the new card arrives, but I now will have to go onto every site that I have auto pay on and put in the new number - THAT is really irritating.

That's terrible! >:(

One person's "take" on Twizzlers vs. Red Vines:

I think I prefer Twizzlers.  I've never done a direct taste test, but I do like the ones that are softer and easier to bite.

Tonight's audience didn't react as overtly as last night's audience, but they did enjoy it.

In tonight's audience was my friend Thomas, who played Romeo when I played Lord Montague (Romeo's father), when TAO did "Romeo and Juliet" and Juliet was played by a man as a man.
