Costume designer was a no-show - no text, no call, no e-mail. We finally e-mailed her and she responded saying she'd not felt well, had taken antibiotics and overslept. Now, if this were a first time happening, I would have said okay. But I don't believe that in all the time I've been working with her (Li'l Abner and Inside Out) she's EVER been on time. She shamefully would keep actors waiting or miss her appointment times on Inside Out - you just don't do that, but I kept her on and she did a fine job. Every time she'd come to the show she was late. She was forty minutes late to the workshop of this show and to the reading. I told her had she pulled that stuff on Inside Out with anyone but me she would have been fired instantly. I told her I just can't do it this time and not to show up this evening. The fellow who was going to help her understand the quick change is dying to do the show and has known Sami since she was a kid.
