But the beauty of the weekend is just as much a reality as the work of the work week, isn't it?

Speaking of trendy words:  Dame Edna (or one of Barry Humphries' other characters, I think) did a whole routine about going through her life and never hearing of or needing cardamom.

Good morning, all!  I could not get to sleep last night until past midnight. I also managed to pull a muscle in my left side yesterday, and I am in a bit of discomfort today.   So . . . I sdlept in, and I will go to Columbia tomorrow,

DR JohnG, what's this animation kick you are on?  I remember seeing "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow on Disneyland as a kid, and I had nightmares for years. I've always liked the Disney version of The Wind In The Willows.  Like most Disney animation, it drops whatever subtle beauties the book has but Mr Toad in both the book and this anmated short remains one of my all-time favorite characters.

Mt favorite Disney score and cartoon is Alice In Wonderland, another favorite book the Disney machine drastically revisited, but so wickedly funny and perverse that no film's done it better.

Monday morning greetings!  This afternoon I'm going to help the new AAUW president set up the budget for 2015-16.  We'll see how my MacBook and her PC get along...

In keeping with DR John G's animation kick, Richard and I watched BRAVE last night.  It was odd to hear Margaret Thompson's voice (from BOARDWALK EMPIRE) coming out of the mouth of the redheaded princess.  I like Kelly Macdonald very much as an actress.
