The Argentinian or Brazilian equivalent of Florence Foster Jenkins posts on the Facebook musicals page; besides having English as a problem, she has a problem with common sense.

If I see her name, I don't even bother to read her posts. On top of it all, she's a Kelli O'Hara disciple.

You are most welcome DR ELMORE.

And now I must be off.....although that isn't news to folks around these parts.

I hope DR SINGDAW is having fun at the Minnesota State Fair!

Back from some chicken tenders - I would say I was in a fowl mood but I seem to have taken care of that now.

Picked up a couple of inconsequential items from the mail place.

What is it about these topics that bring them out?  There's always someone who has to comment on everything everyone says or who knows everthing about everything (and doesn't) or who makes no sense at all.

There's a JE who is irritating beyond belief, full of almost accurate info, and lots of boasts about his plays, his definitive direction, his knowledge of Brecht and Weill, and all I see is that he's all talk and nothing else.

Completely demented and too full of himself.  Most people i know on FB cannot stand him.  He sent me a friend request and I complied.  then his posts were so continuously flaming, rude, and embarrassingly gay, i dropped him. So far, all I have seen him prove is that he loves to "improve" audiotapes to the point of inaudibility.

And now for something completely different.  A friend of mine posted this on FB:

Quote
A car full of Irish nuns is sitting at a traffic light in downtown Dublin, when a bunch of rowdy drunks pull up alongside of them.

"Hey, show us yer teets, ya bloody penguins!" shouts one of the drunks.

Quite shocked, Mother Superior turns to Sister Mary Immaculata and says, "I don't think they know who we are; show them your cross."

Sister Mary Immaculata rolls down her window and shouts, "Piss off, ya fookin' little wankers, before I come over there and rip yer balls off!"

Sister Mary Immaculata then rolls up her window, looks back at Mother Superior, quite innocently, and asks, "Did that sound cross enough?

And then I had to deal with another piece of crap annoyance, but the result is that I'm giving back a CD so that I don't ever have to deal with the people again - I wish this had happened months ago, but in the end, as annoying as it's been, I just feel great relief about it.  I only wish I hadn't JUST made it Grammy eligible.

Jack I do not envy your rehearsals  but I suspect they would be hilarious to watch, just to see your expressions as you struggle not to strangle one or the other of your nemisis

Someone snapped this photo this afternoon. I was barely awake, thanks to having taken a full Benedryl, but I like the photo.

Act Two of Finding Neverland is worse than the first. There's a song about the second star from the right that's so banal, that you long for the version in the Disney film. Then there's some noise that sounds like rejected drum beats from Pippin. Blech.
