She took herself to the ball game
Took herself to the park
Bought herself peanuts and crackerjack
Loved it so much she forgot to come back

I wonder what town is half way between Tumwater and Vancouver?

Everett?  Mount Vernon?  Sedro Wooley?  Arlington?

I was thinking of Vancouver, Washington.

Oh...I was thinking Vancouver, Canada.  Dopey me!

Did George fall asleep?

No.  I'm balancing my checkbook.

Do you still write checks?

A couple a month, and my debit card.  I have to keep track of my debit card usage...it's just like writing checks, as far as my money is concerned.

Re the Chinatown article.  Written by a youngster - you know you're in trouble when his "expertise" comes from the teachings of Robert McKee who, with Syd Field, has done more harm to screenwriting than is imaginable.  Once he begins quoting from McKee he is done and no one but an idiot his age can read anymore of it.  Then to imply that Towne was following McKee's "rules" when McKee hadn't even written his books, is the stupidest thing of all.  Kids today - everyone's an expert.

We had a really big storm last night. My house is ok, but there are quite a few trees down around my neighborhood -- and a LOT around town.
