TOD: What I like about the internet.

About three years ago, my son and his co-worker were chatting. She said to him, "I have a friend I grew up with when we both lived in the Philippines. I think you two would get along. You should meet her."

They got acquainted over the internet. He went to visit her. For the last couple of years they have been working on getting her a visa.

I have gotten acquainted with her over Facebook. She seems like a very sweet young lady.

She arrives Sunday on a fiance visa.

We went for our flu shots today and were asked which of the three types available that we wanted. 

There is the traditional 3 strain vaccination and the quad that we opted for last year after, I believe, DR Cilla mentioned it.

First he offered us the High-dose flu shot: Designed specifically for seniors, which we declined. It is a stronger dose of the 3 strain with more risk for side effects.

My ex-boyfriend and I met on an Internet dating site, also.  We lasted two and a half years before the distance and him not having a car took its toll on me. :-\
