Singdaw:  Congratulations on your anniversary.  You said it has been 25 years since your "ceremony".   What ceremony was that?

And how long has it been since your wedding here in California?

Today "may" be a bit cooler in Oakland.  Yesterday's high was 95.  Today's is supposed to be 86.  We shall see what we shall see.   "Inland" temps are to be in the 100s again.

When they finally did arrive, I could have earned the Academy Award...

Where were you?

We have our own ladies of the evil eye today.  I'm going to head out for a walk.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I had a fruitful IKEA trip last night and I now have a new art cart next to my work table.  Photos to follow...

Here is my new IKEA Raskog rolling cart, topped with a walnut sewing box that my Dad made for Mom almost 60 years ago:

Indeed, very nice.

(Not surprising, though, to see how well organized a person DR Ginny is!)  :)

I am practicing my insane patch changes, whilst making sure I know the damn notes (a few weird things, nothing actually difficult) in ASSASSINS.

What a wonderful box to have.  It is beautiful too.

You obviously needed the rolling cart.  It is already full-lol

Thanks for the nice comments about my art cart.

DR Jane, yes, I'm thrilled to have repurposed the box.  It was missing one screw and had collected a lot of dust in our basement.  One of our Lima parishioners is a fantastic woodworker who repaired it, cleaned it up for me, and said some very complimentary things about my dad's handiwork.

DR Ginny my new Vera Bradly purses just arrived. The pattern on the new black and white one is nicer than on my old purse.  If I had known I might have purchased a 3rd purse.

It came with a coupon for $30 off on a $125 purchase. If you want I will send it to you.  It expires on Oct. 16th.

I was supposed to be at a special event for work at 7:30am.

I awoke and looked at the clock. It was 7:25am.

 :P

Be there.  Done that.

One time a few years ago, a rep had scheduled a meeting with me at 10:00 am, and I got a call from one of my staff at about 10:05 asking where I was! :o I RUSHED to work without even taking a shower. :P

Fortunately, I only live a mile away, so I got there at about 10:15.  We had planned on an hour for the meeting, but it ended up only taking about a half hour, so it was all good.  The rep was very understanding.

I have never missed a meeting since then.
