It was another perfect day  we were at the entrance gate when the park opened  and there were only about 50 other people standing with us... We walked right into all the most popular rides some of them twice.  Having these annual passes is a wonderful thing, parking is free, 10% discount on purchases and knowing we can go back tomorrow means we don't have to rush from ride to ride, we can meander and explore and chat with people.

Jane, are your friends looking for hotels or motels?  In Tacoma, there is the Silver Cloud Motel.  It is down on the Tacoma waterfront, and it sticks out over the water.  The rooms are nice.  It does not have a restaurant or room service attached to it.

There are hotels downtown (I can get you the names) in Tacoma.  Most of them are rather expensive, and most don't offer refunds on cancellations.  There is a La Quinta Inn that is technically in Lakewood (south Tacoma), but it is right next to the freeway.  I have read nice things about it.

I don't know anything about Olympia hotels.

I was looking at the 300+ pictures taken so far.... There's a fat old woman posing with the Vixter time and time again.

The Silver Cloud web site

http://www.silvercloud.com/tacoma/

As I said, no restaurants, but for dinner, the waterfront is restaurant row.  You can always go to a grocery store for snacks or breakfast items.

I was able to set up my new DVR and call Comcast to send their signal to it so that it's recognized as mine.  It should be ready when I get home.

So, we called about the truck today. Sound like they haven't even started on it.

Have any of you watched MOZART IN THE JUNGLE? It is a series for Amazon. The first season is currently available, and there is a second season due in January.  I binge watched the first five episodes today, and i really enjoyed it. It revolves around members of a New York City symphony orchestra.  It stars Gael Garcia Bernal and Malcolm McDowell.  It is based on the memoir, "Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs and Classical Music."  Sadly, the first season has only episodes.

I have heard it's wonderful. Really want to see it.

Glad to see that the VixVacation is going so swimmingly. I like the idea of not having to rush. Don't we all do enough of that?

Hi, John G. Another Haagen-Dazs bar?

Haven't had sugar in three weeks now, except when it's in stuff like the mayonnaise on some chicken salad or a cocktail. So, no ice cream.

When I go to Florida this weekend, I do plan on going to a place that's considered to be the best ice cream in America. It's in Punta Gorda, my old hometown.

Good for you! It's so easy to start eating sugar again. A little here, a little there. I'm glad Punta Gorda is so far from me! I'm not tempted!
