I also learned yesterday that a young man from our congregation ended his battle with batten disease . He was 27 (which is considered remarkable as children with he disease usually succumb in their childhood or teens)
It is a dreadful disease that takes a seemingly normally developing child and gradually he has seizures, becomes blind, loses the ability to walk, eat, talk and finally death.
We will all miss Ryan immensely he made the most of his short time and hi family was amazing. They are always cheerful and helping others. It makes me ashamed of my petty complaints
