Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of pancakes and were back in town, and now it is time for you to post until the back in town cows come home.

After last night's show, there wasn't any organized festivities to ceebrate the opening weekend, so we all pretty much went our own ways.  I was hungry, so I went to McMeniman's The Spar.  I had their Happy Hour mini-hamburger and their Cajun tots. :D

When I got home, I found Sami's CD in my mailbox...which is fortunate, since I had actually ordered it.  ;)

AND it's autographed by Sami herself, as well as Alby Potts and our very own BK!  Thanks, BK!

Glad that the pancakes were good. Hard to understand how they can be so inconsistent with such a signature dish.

I've been listening to Sami in the car as I drive around town. I'm enjoying it and I am up to the Grandfather song.

This morning I fixed something that had been gnawing at me:  I moved my drive to Cincinnati from tomorrow to Tuesday.  I could see that playing the final show, schlepping my equipment home this evening, packing, and somehow getting my arse out of here first thing in the morning just wasn't going to happen.  So now I've got tomorrow, just like Scarlett O'Hara, to relax and get everything done properly.

BK, I am thrilled to hear about Du-Par's and the pancakes.  It had actually bothered me that that tradition had gone bad for you.  What nice news to wake up to this morning.  Sometimes it's the little things...not that great pancakes are such a little thing.

Very glad, though, to know it went well.

George and Chas - glad to hear your respective shows are going so well!

Thank you, sir.  I'm sorry this one's over so soon and can't be seen by more people.  The response has been excellent.  But they only run 'em for two (count 'em) weeks up there.

It is comforting to know that I can still go to DuPar's for pancakes and boysenberry syrup.
