My sympathies, TCB. So glad you were able to reconnect with her.

Monday morning greetings!  We are one car short in our household today because Mary Linda's conked out as she and Rob were driving back from Michigan yesterday.  It's in the car hospital today, so she took mine to work and I will use Richard's for errands later this afternoon.

DR Ginny we are always one car short.  If I still had a car I might go to the Newcomers Club activities, however, I am rather content to walk along the river instead.

DR TCB I'm not sure how I missed your response when I was watching for it.  We won't plan on going to the last show.

Hmmm, seems I also missed a post from DR George:

Quote
Jane, if you're planning to spend the night, what if you came up early on a Saturday, have a lunch early enough for Tom to get to the theater, see the show Saturday night, and then you could leave Sunday.

Just a thought.

I suppose I was thinking Tom wouldn't want the activity before a show.  It is an option.

Bruce, I didn't remember her husband's name.  Was Jeff in your class at Hami?

If you will be seeing her you can still say hi from us.

Ah, yes, DR Jane.  When we selected Richard's new car, we kept in mind that it may well become our "one car couple" car...

Our next car will be something I also enjoy driving, at least I hope so.

Because no day is complete without men in leather slapping themselves about while women yodel in the background. Here's are snippets from Germany's famed musical, Im weissen Roessl (aka White Horse Inn):

This was posted on Facebook yesterday by Mel England, an actor, and a staunch supporter of the Pro-99 movement here in LA.

""WOW! At the "amazing" Bruce Kimmel's one-"girl" show "Welcome to my World" (Bruce wrote the wildly perfect book, lyric and music), performed with stamina, skill and grace by the phenomenally talented 15 year old Sami Staitman! Broadway level work. And, yes, in a 99 seat theatre. Her future is bright, and Bruce just showed us how it's done! #Pro99"

Fun reading about the close of Welcome to My World in the notes today. And the great photos!

Ditto and Ditto!!  I'm listening to it right now, and it's absolutely delightful!

I should buy a lottery ticket today. I sprayed the wasp nest last night in anticipation of yard work this morning. I didn't know there were others. One was only inches from where I was cutting down a dead shrub.
