We have a concert tomorrow for the concert band I play in.   It's just not the same this year.  New director and not the same atmosphere.  If I didn't like so many people there, I may quit, but I would miss my friends

So glad you had such a great trip.  Now that there is a sign on the property and three pennies...may it sell quickly

I will be at a garlic festival tomorrow.

Why oh Why won't they combine the two??

In Elma, Washington, they actually used to have a slug festival!

Samantha gets married on Thursday so I'll be heading up to the wedding.  Am I the only one who really doesn't like to go to weddings?

Nope. Not even if it were my own, and while I never say never, I don't think that's going to happen in my lifetime.

TOD:

Any and all berries. Big faves are raspberries, gooseberries, currants, Texas dewberries and, if you consider then a berry, cherries. (I don't but some do.)

Best way to serve is with a lot of heavy cream poured over them. I honestly don't think there's a finer dessert on the planet.

I can tell that the audience is enjoying it, but for a fairly full bunch o' people on a Saturday night, you'd think that they'd react a bit more exuberantly. :-\

Just back from watching San Antonio Ballet's production of Swan Lake with the symphony playing. The music was so good. And the dancing wasn't bad at all.

I think the fact that it's on a Thursday at 4 is irritating me.  What's wrong with getting married on a weekend so people don't have to take two days off to go to the wedding.

I do wish them the best and will be there, but I'm coming home on Friday.  I just can't afford to take any more time off now.

I took Callie in for her shots today.  The vet was a retired vet filling in for a young vet who recently had a baby.   When I told him Callie was 13 years old he said, "Why, she could easily pass for 5"  that really cracked me up.  Callie seemed to enjoy it.  It's the first time she's almost been relaxed at the vet in ages

That's not so bad...a friend of mine is getting married next year, and the wedding is going to be held in Yucatán.  He actually has family there, so there's a reason for that destination wedding.
