I do still want to play, so I sent a message to the flute choir I used to be in and they were thrilled I want to come back.  I'm really looking forward to it.  It may turn out to be a better fit for me now that I'm more busy at the office.

I didn't know what else to say.

I used to have a relative that lived next to an apple orchard near the base of Mt. Hood.

Today's topic has put this song into my head:

New York folks:  Any thoughts on the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players (NYGASP)?  They're doing IOLANTHE the weekend we're there and we might be interested in going.

Back from a fun dinner at Dan Tana's with Sami and mom.  We did our postmortem quickly - as I called it, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.  Sami knew what the bad and the ugly were and she's really working on it, but I concentrated on the good mostly and there was plenty of it to concentrate on.

The Caesar salad is no longer made at the table, at least in the front room.  But boy was it great.  However, the carbonara, which has always been the best in town, was not that hot tonight.  Something in it, flavor-wise, didn't feel right - Sami tasted it and didn't care for it, and if it had been up to snuff she absolutely would have loved it.

Thanks. I think it will. They only meet twice a month. It's on Sunday, but that's better than having it every single Wednesday night.  I've had and will have a lot of long days at the office and am looking forward at being able to come home mid week an relax.  I may go back in January. I left the door open for that, but we'll see.

The band is 100 percent volunteer, so the make up changes from concert to concert by a few people here and there.

Dan Tana's sounds wonderful (never been there) and that meal had sounded so perfect.  Sorry to hear it was just a little less than that.

Forgot to report on an important facet of the play last night:

A very funny scene calls for two fezzes, and they "wore" perfectly.  I need to find out where they got them.

Sami liked her shrimp scampi a lot, and her mom loved her chicken parmesan - that's what I'll have next time - it looked REALLY good.
