The airport was already a mess.  I would hate to see it on Wednesday.

Ushered for a production of Pinocchio today that was staged by a troupe from Ravena in Italy. It featured puppets of all sizes and shapes. Quite fun.

that sounds like something i would have liked to have seen.  When the Vixter & I were at Universal we were quite mesmerized by the puppet shows performed in the Diagon Alley  area

Vixmom, loved the picture of Elmore and you. Sounds like a fun afternoon.

it really was a wonderful day.  Besides having great seats for a wonderful show the weather was mild and despite predictions otherwise, remained dry.  The online tickets included a coupon for parking  1/2 a block from the theatre and we found on street parking  a block from Artie's.

I forgot to mention that since I arrived earlier than expected I treated myself to a coffee at the Europa Cage across the street from the theatre.  It was a bit crowded since there were approximately 250 Spirit of America girls there all ready to march in the Macy's parade on Thursday  morning.  The chaperone told me this was  just one of the groups; apparently there are 1300 of these cheerleaders taking in the Manhattan sights this week

I was feeling a bit down this afternoon and wishing I had gone to LA for my aunt's service.  A walk and an incredible sunset made me feel better.  I almost took Keith's cell phone to count my steps.  I wish I had because his phone has a camera.  Mine does too but the phone is crappy.
Vibes to you Jane

Thank you Cilla.

Once when I was still single in my 20's  I went.  It was back in the late 70's and it was a beautiful day in the 50's  I was wearing my flatcap and down vest and boots (and night jeans no doubt)  and had my SLR camera slung around my neck and I wandered from herald Square all the way uptown to near the starting point somewhere in the 60's.  Everyone in a while the parade would stop and the performers would do a little routine.  I noticed that the press photographers were inside the barricades running along with the parade taking pictures.   So I slipped inside the barricades (1970's security was much more relaxed) and ran along with the parade snapping pictures and enjoying myself immensely .

I was nearly to Herald Square before a police officer finally asked where my press pass was... I look down as if I was surprised to see it missing and grinned at him and he just grinned back and said back to the sidewalk Missy!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Back from the birthday bash and concert - the latter went very well.  I asked the host to simply introduce me at the start and he said he also had just a couple of things to say - I knew that was a disaster in the making and it was - nice guy that he is, public speaking and keeping it short is not something he knows how to do - fifteen minutes later he finally announced me.  The show itself ran very smoothly and my show order really worked.  Ultimately, I would have cut two numbers and it would have been better, but, you know, this isn't a professional thing.

Oh and to answer Chas' inquiriy:

Elmore ordered the potato pancake appetizer which he kindly shared with me and we each had a stuffed cabbage appetizer (which is about the size of a football)

I also partook of a chocolate eggcream and rice pudding and coffee for afters

Tonight we are sleeping in our guest room.  I was ok with the funny bed but Keith did not like that my mattress is sinks down a bit in the middle.
