Well, you've read the notes, the notes were okay, and now it is time for you to post until the okay cows come home - they're currently having a gunfight at the OK Cowral.

Topic of the Day:

In my Blu-ray player right now is "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"  I had a vague memory that it was based on a book, and I was right.  The title of the book is "Who Censored Roger Rabbit?"  The movie is different than the book, which is set in the present of when it was written (early 1980s) and uses comic strip characters instead of cartoon characters.  The other obvious change is that in the book, Roger Rabbit actually gets killed, and he doesn't in the movie, hence the needed title change.

I checked my library's on-line catalog and they have the movie but none of the books.  There were at least two other Roger Rabbit books.  Two of the three are available from OverDrive, but my library didn't even have those, so I recommended them for purchase.  We'll see if they buy them.

Slept okay.  And an okay sleep is okay.  Or so I've heard.

Coffee!

Stayed up too late reading the new "tome" by Ethan Mordden.  I think it's his first book I have remotely enjoyed since around 1990.  Still, with all his attempts to show off his intellectual brilliance, he sure misses salient points and cannot resist throwing out attempts at humor beginning with "To Broadway wags at the time . . ."

This  morning, I need to run to Staples and photocopy some blank sheets of music paper,  I think I will actually put some of the Dreidle Song on paper.

At 11:00 I may have an orchestration conversation with a composer.

I was very disappointed in the Dolly Parton movie last night - Coat of Many Colors.

The description: "The life and career of country music superstar Dolly Parton is chronicled."

Instead it was two hours of Dolly as a little girl.  The story didn't even match the story of the song OR the description of events in her autobiography.....it was not a BAD movie, but it was NOT as it was described to be sure.....major MISS.

Good morning, all.

It's foggy and drizzly here, meaning traffic is at a standstill. Hope it's clearer in everyone else's world.

Elmore, I have that book on my amazon list. But I dreaded to go for it for the same reason you mentioned about his more recent volumes.
