That's a very interesting and unique painting, BK.

Well, I'm off to bed.  I get to sleep in, so that'll be nice.  This afternoon, I have to go to a union meeting.  I hope it doesn't take too long...I have some more TV watching to do, including last week's Doctor Who season finale.

Have a good day, all!

Good morning, all.

I have to be up at five tomorrow morning, so I deliberately got up at six this morning in the hope of making that slightly easier.

Had a very rude awakening, though.  Got my coffee, sat back in the recliner, opened the iPad, and...  no internet.

So, back upstairs to the modem/router which was sitting there like a dead herring.  I powered it off and back on, and fortunately, that's all it needed.  The only thing I wish for -- and maybe I'll get this for Christmas -- is that, henceforth, whenever this happens, an executive at Comcast is stricken by something unspeakably horrible.

BK, I love that painting!  And yes, the Daliesqueness of it.  But your having found that issue is the icing on the cake.  What a wonderful thing.

Yesterday was warm, mostly in the 70s. This morning is about 20 degrees colder. A storm blew through overnight. It's still wet and dark out there.

TCB, you mentioned seeing Capathia Jenkins. Have you heard her on "Great Joy: A Gospel Christmas"? Really fun album. They take the lyrics of a great many Christmas favorites and give new, gospel melodies to them.

Great notes!  I enjoyed seeing the painting and the magazine!

Once again we will have temps in the 60's today, which is fine with me.

I have my last theatre board meeting of the year....and have my reports ready....so bring it on!

I had to buy a new printer.....I got one very similar to the one I had for ten years....a Canon PIXMA.

When I took it out of the box, I noticed it didn't have a cable to connect to my computer, so I thought maybe it was wireless.....but then the instructions said "USB cable not included"....but the old cable worked perfectly.....so now I am printing once again!

And the gist of posts by DR John G. and DR Jrand65:  Winter Was Warm.

And of course, the parody:

Tune of “Stormy Weather”

Don’t know why
They’re all dissing on the sky
Warming weather,
Noxious waste and us live together
It warms me all the time

Such a scare
When they harp on their despair
Warming weather,
Seems like they all get together
Complaining all the time

They sing of troubled seas, and have no patience for me
They say “Don’t warm me please,” I say “please don’t bore me”
They would rather freeze, their tone says they’ll ignore me
Deplore it even more

I’ll go on
Talking heads speak mostly con -
Warming weather,
Can’t we all just feel warm together
Warm feelings all the time

Just wear linen and not leather,
Warm feelings all the time

Good morning, all! I decided at 8:00 to go back to bed and stayed there until 9:15 while I pondered the differences between wanting to die, wanting to be dead, and waiting to die, Then I got bored.

I have no solid plans today.  At some point I need to call my friend Jeff Symanski and see how he is and I need to listen to that new Golden Apple recording with the full score to insure that it is now laid out properly.

I've been watching Season 3 of the BBC Father Brown Mysteries, which are a little too much gemütlich and cutesy-cozy for me. I didn't mind it so much in Seasons 1&2, but this current round is beginning to bug me.  I don't know if I'll give a damn when Season 4 rolls around.

However, the last episode I watched last night really touched me.  i'm still a bit surprised.
