I still can't find a charger for my nook.  Keith has turned the sound off on his iPad so I do no accidentally wake him while I am reading tonight.  One little problem, Siri does not recognize that and if I tap too long to switch to here from my library book I make scary noises,

Can you turn off Siri?

Keith might look to see if he can, or I will only read and not play on the iPad while he sleeps.

Does your iPad have a headphone jack?  You could get something like THIS.  It's a stylus for iPads, but it plugs into the headphone jack so you don't lose it.  BUT when something is plugged into the headphone jack, the external speakers (should) automatically shut off and make NO noise!

Or if you don't want to pay for something like that and you have an old pair of headphones that no longer work, you could cut off the plug and just stick that into the headphone jack and that should also turn off the external speakers.

Either way, there are options.

And on that note (F#), I'm leaving work and going home to take a nap before I leave for the movie.  We're going to see Love.  "Viewer discretion is advised due to graphic sexual content."

Went to usher for Robert Earl Keen's country Christmas show. They sold more beer at this event last year than any other event, so they set up six extra beer bars in the theater lobbies and then took trays of beers into the theater like it was a ballgame. And the people drank and drank and drank.

I only saw a little of the show, but I got to hear all of it. It's not my thing (I didn't know a single song and everybody else was singing along) but I could appreciate the musicianship. It was less Christmas than I thought it would be.

Yikes! :o Doesn't really sound like a very good listening experience.  Everyone else would annoy me too, too much.

That's how I'd feel, too. John G, you were brave to usher.

I stayed out in the lobby for a great deal of the evening.

Make a few almond raspberry tarts tonight. The holiday baking is in full swing.

My nose has been running today an I thought it was a cold, but I took an allergy pill and it's really helping.  Maybe it's just how warm and wet it's been.

My question for today....but NOT my ASK BK question....

If you are directing a musical that opens June 4, and your auditions are April 3 and 4 - why would you choose a pianist who is not available until May 3?

Thank you for all the good wishes for my niece.  She was doing fairly well today while I was there.  She has one lone staple in her forehead.  Kind of a Frankenstein touch.

After I left, the hospital gave her two Vicodin, but when that didn't help, the dimwits gave her some morphine.  The result: Projectile vomiting!  Kind of an Exorcist touch.

I'm anxious to close the eye surgery chapter of my life. I still don't have driving glasses, but at least the medical side of things seems to be over.

I appreciate all the eye vibes you've all sent. My eyes thank you.

Jeanne, I am so sorry that your eye surgery experience was not as positive as my experience.  I am so grateful for modern medicine.

A couple of the cast members were trying to organize a line run-thru during our two week break.  Sorry, I'm not interested.

I suppose that sounded snotty.  I just think that we should be capable of doing our homework while we are on break.

Now if one of the cast members came to me and asked if I would run lines with them, I would, of course, say yes.
