COMMISERATING

Well, you've read the notes, the notes commiserated, and now it is time for you to post until the commiserating cows come home.

Ask BK

Do you think a play like Deathtrap could be successful today with the internet and the social media that all the twists would not bet revealed despite someone saying "Spoiler Alert".

When I saw Deathtrap In NYC I went in knowing nothing about it despite it being a good play and being fooled and thrilled along with the audience and not revealing anything when I was taken to another production of it in Toronto.

This is a French word minus the accents. Interesting

Three days in a row in the tax office this week - unusual for December, in this office anyway.

Last night I dreamed that Stephen Sondheim loved in a huge house on South Main Street in Middletown, OH. I gave him a book, "Harold Arlen on Stephen Sondheim" for his birthday, but he was more amused by this novelty gift my music copyist friend Wayne had given him.

In another hour, I shall board a 104 bus and head down to City Center.  I look forward to seeing Joshie and looking over the original 1776 scores.

On my way home, I will stop at the market and get fixings for chicken soup.  I'll spend most of tomorrow cooking a lot of soup.

We had our year-end office lunch at one of those all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouses.

Then I played approved hooky for the rest of the afternoon. Got in visits to Costco, Trader Joe's, a liquor store and Half Price Books.

My question for today....but NOT my ASK BK question....

If you are directing a musical that opens June 4, and your auditions are April 3 and 4 - why would you choose a pianist who is not available until May 3?
