Well, you've read the notes, the notes had force and were awake, and now it is time for you to post until the awake cows come home - with force.

I have a couple of friends who were going to see SW:TFA this weekend.  I'll find out how they felt about it at some point...probably this week.

About empty seats at the Star Wars showings, with so many news sources (including CNN, which is usually reliable about such things) seeming to say you have to be so lucky just to get a ticket, that seems to have made Disney need to respond by taking ads that specifically tell people that seats are available.   So Disney has decided not to go with the approach of making people feel it is an impossible-to-get ticket.

I'm up early, but so far I feel rested.  I hope I don't suddenly start getting tired at the tax office today.

Didn't go out a lot this past year because of my knee, but I did enjoy Lee Roy Reams and Lewis J Stadlen in Hello Dolly playing the title role and Horace respectively

You're lucky to have Jan Horvath. She is one of the unsung singers I know of. Fun and truthful song

Michael - Thanks so much.

Jan Horvath is so great!  Have you ever seen her live in concert?  I saw her at NJPAC - just wonderful!

I slept really well.  I had a very long dream about working for Barnes & Nob;e, which I began in Nov. 1998 at part-time Christmas help.  I stayed for five years.  My beloved manager Patty retired early this year and I miss the fact that she's n longer there when I top in to see my friend Val. She began working there in 2000.

I saw a wonderful movie in the theatre yesterday-- terrific cast and great story: "Miracle on 34th Street."  I'd go to the theatre to see a lot more movies like that.

Around 12:30, I will head down to the Lower East Side to record the wonderful guitarist Sean Harkness for Celia Berk's album. I hope we finish up before 4 so I can get out of transit before the rush hour gets crazy.

DR vixmom, you and I are in the same "christmas will happen when I can get to it" situation.  Today's fee will pay for my gifts for the building super and my brother and sister-in-law.  I'll be scrounging for money until my pension lands on Jan. 2.  For the third year is a row, my social security is not getting a cost of living rise in payment and that is lousy news.

When I first went to La to mix "Unsung Sondheim" and Liz Callaway's Frank Loesser album, BK took me to the Director's Guild to see "Jurassic Park." It was amazing there.

TOD:

Since they are yet to be released onto DVD, I haven't seen that many of the top film yet this year.  However, I did like Ian McKellen in MR. HOLMES and Helen Mirren in WOMAN IN GOLD.
