After brain surgery? Sounds quite unrealistic to me. Perhaps she can talk to another doctor. If she isn't progressing as she thinks she should it could be worrying, and that won't help her at all. I hope someone can give her a more realistic timeframe.

I think that in a year of ups and downs, the best thing that happened is that I made it through the bad times and came out stronger and healthier. I'm back on my feet and things are back to normal, but better. Can't ask for more than that. On an event level, I think Samantha's wedding was pretty darn great

Today I got a wonderful Christmas present from my former client and friend. He's the teenager from Guatemala I helped a few years back. He brought a big bouquet of roses and some Christmas money for me to buy a gift.

I went to the store and got a new mixing blade with a scraper attached for my stand mixer and a couple high end cookie sheets. They will go perfectly with the glass mixing bowl I bought for myself for Christmas.

Then I roasted a chicken in the over. Grease was everywhere in the oven when I finished, so I decided to self clean the oven, not realizing that I needed to clean it before putting on the self cleaning.....I learned quickly when it started smoking like crazy. I stopped it and think I've finally aired out the house. Tomorrow I'll wipe it down good and try again.

My plan was to go see my family on Christmas day and come back the next day, but I'm not sure the weather is going to cooperate. SO, I may have to change my plan and go on Christmas Eve instead. Will watch the forecast and decide

You have to wipe it down. I think it's stupid. Anyway, I didn't read that until after I started it, then decided to remind myself of the directions by looking it up online. It said if you don't wipe it down it will smoke.....they were right

While I'm sure I'll stop in the office and check the mail - and complete on project if I get what I need in the mail - and maybe clean out my desk or something similar, I'm taking time off until after the holidays. There's nothing on the schedule so, I'm very flexible on when I go see my family

Tomorrow is supposed to be very rainy, but Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are supposed to be fairly nice. Not 70 degrees like the east coast, but no rain anyway.
