Crisis averted. I went to yelp to see if the florist in my MIL's town has gone out of business. I discovered I had put in an incomplete web address. I needed to add flowersandgifts after the store name to get the right web site. It would have been nice if the owner of the other site had let me know I had the wrong one. I was able to order an arrangement for delivery today.

I have already made nine mini tarts (apricot and fig again), taken JB to the Tweet Suites, picked up my decongestant and mopped the kitchen floor. I'm now waiting for an oil change and then off to Costco. And the day is just beginning.

I am tired of being hot outside and freezing inside.  I am glad I brought a couple of warmer blouses with me.

TOD:

My favorite theatrical experiences this year were The Bad Seed and The Game's Afoot.

I also enjoyed Antigone very much.

I think the one I enjoyed the MOST was the world premiere of The Trouble With Accountants.  I worked with so many new people....and the creative staff were all very talented.  Most of them were in their senior years, so they will have moved on to start their careers, but it was fun.  And I got to do some very FUN stuff.

Back, unscathed from errands.  I hit it just right, and even Costco was nothing to write home about.  Not that I was going to write home about it anyway, but you never know.

Beautiful rendition, DR Elmore.

Thanks! It's a bit too far from Adolph Adam for my taste, but I do what I'm paid to do! Make the client happy.

With all this talk about shows and licensing and whatnot, something I meant to say yesterday is that I will not hesitate to suggest THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X when the time is right.

It's not the right piece for this theater for that particular slot, but it's going to be the right piece for someone around here in hopefully the not too distant future...and I will jump on it when the opportunity arises...and when it will be mine to do, not somebody else's.

Elmore, I thought the Amazon package that arrived today was the one you had told me about. Instead it was the original cast recording of Hamilton and the soundtrack for At Long Last Love. A very merry musical Christmas for me!

I'll let you know when yours arrives.

It isn't coming from Amazon but I ordered it on the amazon.com Market.  It's from Deep Discount DVD. Expect it next week.

My Wright State friend and his brother just landed in Indianapolis.  I'm happy they are home safe.

I spoke to my friend with cancer.  I told hm he's on two prayer lists - I hope - and all I can ask is that you keep those vibes going for him. Please.

I'm up, I'm up - did not fall asleep until very late, like four or four-thirty, so only slept six hours - got up at ten.  Saw the proof already - I did the cover wrong (I really don't know how, either - I would have known but once you upload the file you don't see the result until the proof).  What we were in fact supposed to upload was the front AND back cover AND spine - that information was nowhere to be found - it just tells you to upload the cover and I kept looking for a place to upload the back cover and there wasn't any.  So, I have to resubmit it all today when Doug gets me that PDF file - the interior looks fine to me, although I saw a couple of spacing issues I may as well fix.

I have very few plans for today or tomorrow.  I'll go over to Holy Trinity and pray for my parents, grandparents, and other family members as well as my friend with cancer.  Please keep him and his family in your thoughts.

And continued from yesterday:

Getting Christmas Eve day off is very nice...especially like this year where we get a four-day weekend without using our own vacation time.  We don't get New Year's Eve day off, but all the buildings have to close early, so next week, since New Year's Day is on Friday, we'll get a three-day weekend. :D

Do you guys get a day off for Boxing Day or is that not a holiday?

Around seven years, David Burnham asked me to write this chart for a holiday concert he was doing. I have no memory now of how he found me or where the concert was, but I really enjoyed working with him.  This sound clip is from a concert about three years ago.
