I guess you should know that 2015 was a pretty excellent year for this site.  December's postings were our biggest month all year.  Our full year post count is, as you know, missing about five thousand posts from those weeks we lost, but we know where we would be had we not had that problem.  It wouldn't have been a record year, but a very good one.  In terms of page views, December was our second biggest month with close to 650,000 - our biggest month, page view-wise this year was March with over 810,000.  Overall page views for the year were up over a million from last year, but not quite up to the eight million and more we've had in past years.  Still, very pleasing on every level.

Today is going to be a day for me.  I need to go to bed now so that I can get up much earlier than I usually do.  I first have to be at my parents' house by 8:30 at the latest.  Then, I have to run an errand, which is the reason that I needed to be at my parents' house so early, then I'll go to work.

I'll leave work early (I'm not yet sure how early) and go to my sister's house for the family's New Year's Eve get-together.  I think we're going to have pizza.  I need to find out if I should bring anything.

But I won't stay there all night because a friend of mine is having her birthday party this evening.  She rented The Midnight Sun for her party, but will have all her guests read through William Shakespeare's "Star Wars: Verily, A New Hope."  It's "Star Wars" translated into Shakespeare!  It'll be a lot of fun! :D

I don't plan on staying to midnight, but you never know.  We'll see how I feel in the moment.

I was prescribed a narcitic based cough medicine yesterday which I did purchase, but I dozed off in the recliner before I took it.

I woke up around 5:30 coughing but it was too late to take the cough medicine so I am sipping hot tea with plenty of honey and lemon

Memorable and disappointing.

I was in Time Square circa 1980/1981 before it became Disneyland.

It was fantastic being with friends and 1000s of others waiting for the ball to drop although it might have been the apple back then.

The disappointing factor was that soon afterwards the crowds began to disperse. I thought that the party would continue but it didn't

As for the party there will be none for me. I'll probably be in bed asleep.

I am not leaving the neighborhood today.  Getting into midtown was an ordeal yesterday, so I brought two scores for CABIN IN THE SKY home with me t work on over the weekend.

This morning, I'll make a trip to the market, and stay around the apartment the rest of the day.
