I'll spill the beans at some point - this is not one I'm worried about anyone copying. All my books have a lot of humor in them, but I'd say this one, if it works as it should, will be the first purely comic novel I've written. I'm trying to find ways to have some other stuff in it, but mostly it's just meant to be funny.

I'm listening to Kiri te Kanawa's Christmas album. After dealing with her and her general and genuine ugliness on her Gershwin recording, I never wanted to hear her name again. When I realized that the album was arranged and conducted by Carl Davis, I decided I should hear it for his orchestrations. Him I like. Her I don't.

Last night I got hooked watching episodes of HOUSE M.D. that some channel was running as a marathon, and was awake till all hours. And I do mean all of them. I think I covered about every hour there is.

So, at some point today a nap will be in order because tonight I'm attending the closing performance of a friend's holiday revue. But for now...
