AND congrats on moving ahead with getting your pension money that is all YOURS and belongs to you and should be in your account. Hopefully that will include your social security AND Medicare A & B which is most reassuring to have....just in case.

When I saw the description of the SHERLOCK HOLMES and saw that it was set in the original time period, I thought for some reason that it was NOT a Cumberbatch episode.....so perhaps I will see it online or ON DEMAND at some point.

I feel like Emily in Our Town. I'd like to go back to a family gathering around 1960. My grandmother, my parents, and my aunts and uncles seemed so much older than I. Now that I am older than many of them were when they died, I'd like another perspective.

Me, too, DR Elmore. I'd like to go back to the 1920s or '30s in Owensboro, KY, to meet my paternal grandmother and Indianapolis, IN, to meet my maternal grandfather. They both died before my parents even met and loom large as mythical figures to me.

Like DR ELMORE, I am sometimes astonished to realize that I knew my grandparents when they were MY age now, and they seem so much older than I am today....

And I watch old movies and realize that I am older than Humphrey Bogart, for example, when he died....and older than so many of them when they made the movies I am watching.....

It is a strange feeling.

I need to make some recordings today and do some shopping. Tonight is the parish staff Christmas party in which I (along with the youth minister and Fr. Brian) am one of the chefs. It's a fun gathering. I'm hoping to take tomorrow off from church, also.

Back from a lovely lunch with cousins from the Scranton area (or more specifically, Dallas, PA).

Interesting that they think nothing about coming into New York City just to see a show or a ball game, while it seems so many New Yorkers think a 2-1/2 to 3 hour trip requires an over night stay. Or am i wrong about that perception?

Sadley Rio was a bust due to lousy weather, long lines to see nothing, and the tour guide refusing to go someplace else where of interest.

We are losing our wifi. Hopefully I can post from our next stop, Iguazu Falls and the hotel has wifi.

We are leaving the ship at 6:30 tomorrow morning.

I hope we can see the falls and don't have a repeat of today.
