DR TCB, my condolences on the loss of your dear friend Patsy.

Thank you, Jane.  She was a great lady (or maybe a great broad).  Her Boston accent got thicker every year.  She loved her vodker martinis on the rocks (no vermouth).  Still smoked, and had a laugh that could stop traffic.  She also had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I had ever met.  She owned the travel agency where I worked, and she sent me around the world.  Okay, maybe from Hawaii to Europe and places in between.  I will miss her always.

What a great description and tribute to her.

I thought so, too.

Me too!

TCB the people who bought my next door neighbor's house live in Gig Harbor. Is that anywhere near where you are? I've never been to that part of Washington

About three miles from my house.  Just across the bridge from Tacoma.

Really?  From what I've been told by my former neighbor, they are keeping their home there and they will use this as a summer home.  I think I met the wife when they were looking at the home.  I saw her photo on facebook and remember seeing them.  I spoke to her father and he asked if I was the neighbor, if it was a quiet neighborhood etc.  I had  very good feeling about them.

He used to play hockey with our local pro hockey team.  He now is a IT consultant.  She grew up here and I think maybe they both worked at Gateway before they left town.  I'm anxious to meet them, but no one has been around here at all.  It's amazing what you can learn on the internet about people

Cillai really envy your opportunity to meet the candidates "up close and personal" as they say

Although they drive me crazy, I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to see them when they our stumping. They are  going from small town to small town, talking to people in diners and pizza places and ice cream parlors, with a big venue thrown in here and there like a high school gymnasium or a theater. On days like tomorrow, it means going in and out of below zero weather and driving hours between stops. Then being asked questions in venues where it's so small it's hard to dodge a question. They have to work for our votes and if a candidate skips a part of the state, it's noticed and they won't win the votes there.  Unfortunately, in most years it's just the hard cores who actually caucus.  It sounds like Trump and Bernie will bring out a lot of first timers this year.  That's how Obama won.

Interesting, thanks.

I wish I could eat Indian food more often.  Other than not liking it spicy I enjoy most of the vegetarian dishes.

I always think I don't like Indian food but every time I've been to an Indian restaurant I enjoy it.  I do always ask what the mildest dishes are.  So far that's worked for me.  I'm not a big curry fan and despite the history, most of the restaurants around here use curry

I will say it's going to be interesting to see the results and they will come fast this year.  All the caucuses have electronic reporting this year.  Do you remember the last time when the Republican caucus was very close and came down to one precinct and the precinct leader had gone home and gone to bed without reporting.  CNN actually got a hold of her somehow after waiting hours and hours and asked her on the phone what the tally was.  It was pretty funny, but very embarrassing for the state. So they are all electronic and will be tallied quickly that night

Last night I was still being weepy, when I looked up at the clock and it clicked over to 01/16.  Not a good way to start off my day (even before I went to sleep).
