DR George, The Bloody Irish is coming from Dublin into Manhattan in April and will play at the Neil Simon Theater for two weeks.  Several of the Orchestra of Ireland players are in the band and I look forward to seeign them.

Cool!

Looks like I'll need to go back and read the second to last Hofstetter novel and the newest novel (which I haven't read yet) and refresh who Patrick Bronstein is.  I'm horrible when it comes to remember things I've read.

My copyist, Scott, on Gentlemen, Be Seated! lives in Durham, NC.  He just sent me a note about the score and mentioned that the storm is really bad in Durrham with lots of ice. I think DR vixmom was very smart to leave last night.

The stew is finished and almost all pots, pans, utensils are washed and ready to be put away.  The stew looks really good and smells terrific.

DR vixmom,  at least you are now below the storm, I think. The food sounds deelish.  I love chicken and dumplings.  My dad's mother occasionally made thaqt when we went to visit in Kentucky, but that's been over 50 years ago.

Back from a visit with Grant - he's working on the cover - he had an idea and he's mocking it up.  I'll probably have something to look at by the end of the weekend.

Which hotel or motel are you at?  Does the Holiday Inn there still have the Denny's?  That's where I've liked staying a few times.

I'm pretty sure we cleaned off our cars before driving, however, I had no idea not doing so was dangerous.

Perhaps Mike Huckabee is charming in person. I don't know; I've never met him.

But if you're gay, he's definitely not your friend.

There are a lot of things I don't agree with him about. Not going to support him, but took the free coffee

I think it's great that our DR ciillaliz is seeing every candidate and taking advantage of the ability to do so.

Thanks Elmore.  I have to tell you, you really learn a lot about them seeing them in person as they appeal to their core voters.  Sometimes I hear positions on issues I either really agree with or disagree with that I wasn't even aware that person had.   I think I'm going to skip Ben Carson prayer service tomorrow.  I'm not going to caucus for him and I have a headache.

I am also enjoying reading DR CILLA LIZ's posts about the political goings on in Iowa.....it's better than what we get on the news!

The news doesn't have a clue.  I can't remember the last time I talked to someone who actually answered a poll.  It's going to be interesting. Unless something crazy happens in the next week, I think I know who is going to win on both sides, but we'll see.

First thought: Does Ben Carson have a prayer?
