CNN just said NYC may get up to 20 inches of snow.  Hope you all have your supplies for the weekend!

It was 55 degrees here today and sunny.  We haven't seen so much blue in a long while.  I went for a very long walk this evening.  There were lots of people out enjoying the later sunset and then the full moon.

I'm hoping it will be sunny tomorrow It's been above zero but cloudy and damp, so it's felt very cold.

Tonight, somehow I didn't get the door into the garage completely shut and Ricky got out. The outside garage door was shut, so he was in the garage.  I didn't know he was there and closed the mud room door.  It was quite a while later I heard him scratching to get in.   It was a BIG adventure for him.  I have no idea what he got into.  He thought he was in trouble, but he isn't.  I never leave that door open, sheesh!  He's sleeping on the chair now.  I'm sure he'll be bragging about his adventure to his sisters

I'm hoping that isn't the case. It could be media hype like we've seen before with the weather.  I'll worry about it tomorrow when I try to get to City Center.

Well, it's time for me to leave work.  I need to go to Fred Meyer to return some stuff, then go home.  Tonight, there will be some TV watching and maybe some laundry.

Back from an casual meal at the burgerjoint/bar  down the road.  Nice burger with thick sliced applewood bacon  and provolone  on fried Texas toast.... Served with sweet potato fries and a dipping sauce made of  butter, brown sugar cinnamon and if my tastes buds did not deceive me, a bit of maple syrup... i could feel my arteries hardening at each delicious bite

Oh it wouldn't have taken me that long to miss him.  He sits in the chair with me at night.  I actually think Boo was trying to tell me he couldn't get in from the mud room. I thought she was hungry.  When I gave her food she must have forgotten all about Ricky

I'm just glad the garage door was down.  He wouldn't have been able to get outside. He could have gotten in the mud room, just not gotten in the house.  I always check the temp in the mud room before going to bed. It's also the laundry room, but only has a small electric heater so I have to check the temp before going to bed. There are coats etc in there and a cat carrier.  He would have been fine.

I haven't done this in a long time, but tonight I just settled myself down in front of the TV and, in between catching weather updates, I've been watching those Diners, Dives, Burgers, 'Que, etc., food programs.

But just before doing that, I'd had this HUGE piece of brandy-soaked fruitcake...so it's not that I'm hungry now.  I'm really not.  But the kind of foodstuffs I've been seeing and hearing about, including vixmom's scrumptious sounding repast, can still get the juices flowing.
