I'm up, I'm up - barely.  All three house building crews are at it today.

So overall I enjoyed it.  It was so jam-packed that it was rather tiring. Getting back to the hotel on 32nd Street (from the Hilton on 54th and 6th) was interesting.  There were people walking down the middle of 6th Avenue.  DR Elmore mentioned the subway stairs.  They were so slippery that I walked down sideways grasping the rail with hutch hands.  Luckily there was subway service Saturday night, at least on the line we needed

Sounds like a lot of fun, despite/because of the snow.

I also like HOW TO STEAL AN ELECTION.....especially two of the numbers....

"Get Out the Vote" and "Henry Clay and Frelinghuyson."

My one fault with the show is: How can you have a musical with the incomparable Karen Morrow and not have her sing?

I saw a copy of the first review today.  The paper hasn't gone to press yet, so it isn't online yet.  It was a  thumbs up.

That's great, Tom!

Soundtracks I'd love to see on CD (for the first time).

Ditto on Elmo's comment about the OST to "Oh! What A Lovely War"
Ditto Michael Shayne's recommendation of "Sondheim: A Musical Tribute"
Also, the OST to "Young Winston".

Doing "okay" is my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Today marks the start of my second week back at work.

I'm taking things a bit slower than before, mainly because I have been told to take things easy and to not get myself into any kind of "state" that might elevate my blood pressure and elevate my heartbeat (beyond what I'd go for in exercise).

Weird.   Thus far, am alleviating stress left and right.

My "alert" time continues to increase daily.  I was sleeping a lot...and I mean A LOT...during my recovery post-hospital stay.

Long story short:  Started feeling poorly at start of my second week back in SC.   Had trouble breathing.  The slightest effort would "wind" me.  (That's wind with a short "i").  When I went to hospital Jan. 3, I thought I had pneumonia.  Doctor alleviated that misconception within 15 minutes.

Breathing is fine now.  Am sleeping well.  Must watch my eating, however...and my liquids consumption.

I forgot to mention I saw Allegiance last night.  It's the show with George Takei and Lea Salonga about the Japanese internment camps durin WWII.  It was very good and also timely.

I'm glad you remembered to mention it now.

Jonathan Tunick's orchestration for "Honey in the Honeycomb" and the big band dance break is really tremendous.

Sadly, the one miracle that really could have put things right did not happen, even though I was kind of assured it would.  Oh, well.  Mercury is out of retrograde as of a few minutes ago - maybe in a couple of days some surprise miracle will happen.  If it doesn't, it's going to be a VERY difficult week.
