While a hard day, I'm glad your mother waited for you to do this day with her.

Since I retired from my job and had to turn the laptop back in, I have not had a computer with Office or Word or anything. I finally got my new computer back with all the stuff I want installed. Mostly. Now I just have to get used to a new keyboard and the awful touch pad (or whatever you call it) that allows the cursor to move around. I don't know about this.

DR Laura, I hate my touchpad so much I just got a regular usb mouse. I am much happier

Caucuses over. Whew! Once again I hate the Republican winner.  Still hoping Bernie pulls it off.  With 22 percent of the vote left to count, Hillary is only 0.5 percent ahead

Finally finished Il Grido. Excellent movie but I wish I had had time to watch it in one sitting, not four.

Now for the latest Downton Abbey.

Looks like DR Cillaliz's "weather guy" is partially right. Southern MN (and IA) will get some snow on Feb 2.          ;D

SOME snow?  We're supposed to get a foot here with 50 mph winds.  Don't know if it will happen, but we have blizzard warnings and everything is closed tomorrow. That's fine with me as I have lots of research and writing to do and can do it from home

Rehearsal is going well...for the actors.  The projections still aren't projecting correctly.  Oh, well.  As I always say, "It'll be what it'll be."

Glad to hear that Kimber is safely back at home.

Are you thinking of adopting her, Sing? Sort of a try-before-you-buy arrangement? Rent-to-own? She looks like a sweet doggie.

I guess I'm the dissenter here. When I bought my Macbook I was used to a mouse and didn't expect to like the trackpad, so I bought a new mouse. As it happens, I took to the trackpad right away and never use the mouse. I will say I find the mouse faster, but I often have the Mac in my lap and then the trackpad is much more convenient.

Don't know the final total, but with 94% counted it's Clinton 49.9% and Sanders 49.6%  Pretty amazing when you think no one here even knew who he was 9 months ago

Yes, this episode of Downton was a bit of a shocker. Other than that, no spoilers.

I think it depends on the lap top. I loved the track pad on one of my older computers.  This one, not so much
