The friends I visit South Padre Island with every year have had to cancel out on this year's trip. I think they've gotten too old to be able to handle it, which is a shame. They always enjoyed going down there.

Loved the Ian McKellan double feature of King Lear and Mr. Holmes. The Lear had three great women as the daughters, including Romola Garai as Cordelia.

Now watching an attempt to recreate Welles' version of Touch of Evil. It's always been one of my favorites.

Question, maybe just for Bruce & Vixmom regarding the cost of dental work.

My friend's daughter in-law, due to a cancer treatment,  needs all her teeth removed.  Four implants will be done to hold the two bridges in place.

$50,000 seems unreasonably high to me.

It seems like a bargain, Jane , dental work is extraordinarily expensive and it is generally not covered by insurance,

Thank you, though I might have errored when I aid $50,000.  I believe it is closer to $60,000. :(

The theater has been receiving lots of phone calls and e-mails from audience members who were "thrilled" by the production of SECOND SAMUEL.

Next week we are supposed to have clear skies and temperatures in the 50's.  Not exactly Spring, but it could be worse.

I have been told repeatedly that I will be directing next season at one of our local theaters.

Today, at lunch, I learned that directors are already being assigned and I haven't even been asked my preferences.

Touch of Evil rocks. It's been too long since I've seen the movie.
