Good morning, all! I slept late, then I lost my glasses and spent 30 minutes looking for them around my bed. Because I'm nearly blind, I go into panic mode. The last pair of glasses is six years old (yes, I knowI'm overdue for new ones) so I put them on. Just as I was debating calling Joshie and insisting he come over to help me look, I found them under my bed, a full mattress length from where I usually keep them in my night stand. Poltergeist? or my encroaching senility?

When I loose my glasses at night it is because I dozed off before putting them on the night stand.  I have a fear of breaking them.  At least I have contacts I can wear.

I went through that with my glasses a few weeks ago.  Fortunately I have a second pair, so I went and got them.  Looked all the HELL around and under and behind the bed.  Nada.  It's a platform bed and I began to think I'd have to start disassembling it and I didn't even want to think about that.  I gave it a rest for a couple of hours.

Tried again later.  Still nothing.  This time I moved a couple of things on the little shelf that I always tuck the glasses into at night.  And there were the glasses.  They were behind the TV remote instead of in front of it.  I'd glanced at the shelf first thing, but...

Poltergeist, incompetence, senility.  Oy!  Could I try door number four?

;D. Missing items are often where they belong, just slightly out of place and missed at first glance.

They were literally -- and I do mean literally -- one inch from their usual spot.

Happy Saturday to One and All.....the latest edition of the Broadway Radio Show is now up on this here website for your listening pleasure.  This week I had the treat of interviewing opera singer Rolando Sanz, who is the Co-Founder and Producing Artistic Director for a wonderful organization in the Washington DC area called Young Artists of America, which provides training and mentoring for young musicians and performers.  They have a new symphonic concert version of Stephen Schwartz's Children of Eden coming up on March 13th.  Sometimes these interviews happen in the strangest ways....in this case, I was hanging out in the pool at our hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico last month and started chatting with this very friendly woman named Gina....she was a delight and turned out she is the Executive Director of YAA....once she explained the work and mission of YAA, I knew I wanted her on the radio show....she recommended I chat with Rolando instead and that's how this radio show came about  (never fear, I coaxed Gina into coming on the show in a few weeks to run down her 12 favorite showtunes -- she has quite an interesting background herself!)  Give the show a listen and enjoy your weekend!

Just for the differing opinion on Bridge of Spies - I thought all of it was terrific - certainly in my top five of the year, and I found nothing wrong with its structure other than it doesn't really conform to screenwriting 101, a good thing, in my opinion.

Thank you.  I've been told she doesn't want visitors or to talk on the phone.  I will have to wait for news.  Right now I don't even know where to send a card.

Yes, and I fear our audience didn't laugh as often which is good for me.  I would have missed much of what was said if they did.  I think just because there isn't a lot of loud laughter it just means people are listening better. :)

I agree with you.  I thought the transition from the trial to the bridge unraveled beautifully.

I'm back from the post office (to pick up a Barbra 1994 Concert mug I ordered from ebay), the library ( I got Michael Riedel's book, "Razzle Dazzle--the Battle for Broadway") and the supermarket.
