Got a question for the group:

Do you use the term "sleep in" for sleeping late?  If so, did you grow up knowing it, or did you adopt it at some time or place?

This question somehow came up the other day, and some people had never heard it and had no idea what it was supposed to mean.  Some of that group had spent their lives around NYC, so we thought it might be a regional expression - but in what areas?  I felt like I'd always heard it and used it, but I've lived in the Midwest, Florida, California, and Northeast, and I have no idea where I would have learned it or how long ago.

Yes, we've always used the term sleep in

I had two appeal briefs due this week, so I've pretty much been working and working on them I got one filed Friday at 9:56 and the other is due Tuesday.  I finished writing it at 2:00 AM.   Today I slept in

I've done a lot of nothing today.  We have a high wind watch (40-50 mph) and it was a damp cold today.  Still lots of snow on the ground from the foot plus we got last Tuesday

I was supposed to have a jury trial on the 16th, but I was freaking out about all these deadlines and got the prosecutor to cut me some slack and agree to do the trial in March.  Man did that help.  Now I can catch up with all sorts of things I need to do

Stay tuned momentarily for a big CD sale - for those who need to fill in their Varese Sarabande collections of my stuff.  I can't have this stuff just sitting in boxes anymore, truly.  So, in about fifteen minutes a big list - ten bucks each plus postage, all sealed and new.

After feeding the cast and crew of "On the Verge," I went to Costco to just look around, but I ended up buying the 2-fer DVD "The Apple Dumpling Gang / The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again," featuring our very own BK!

We are watching a Netflix series called Longmire

I love the books but cannot stand the woman who plays Vic so we don't watch it.

Oops, found another small box o' stuff so look at the list above and I'll put those new titles at the end with asterisks or something.  And I found a couple more Grass Harps so I'll put that back on.

Had some low-cal no-fat hot dogs at noon-thirty, and just had another of those little steak things like I had last night - so under 1000 calories.

Super Bowl (and commercials) were a big yawner.   But the company was grand, simply grand.
