I'm up, I'm up - barely.  I'd be surprised if I had three hours of sleep.  As soon as the helper has come and gone, I'm going back to bed.

As an avid reader I find it shocking when people say that they won't read e-books.

Yes, I like physical books.  Yes, I thought that I would not like using a kindle.

But OMG my kindle is my most prized possession.  I cannot imagine living without one.  It is the best invention of the last decade.  I cannot recommend it highly enough.

If you think you hate it, TRY IT.  Now I prefer it to hardcovers. It is so much easier.  The print is almost always the perfect size.  IT is so convenient. You have all your books together.  It is so easy.  I love my kindle so much.

I would say that most of the e-books I read are the perfect size/type and font without adjusting anything.  There are a few books that I have read where they have used a really bad font and that makes the type smaller. And you can't adjust it because the next size up will make it huge. So i really dislike this. But other than that I have never read an e-book where the paragraphs look weird or anything like that.

Tonight, the opening of SPELLING BEE.

Today is also a sad one, because at 5 p.m. we will be saying goodbye to a beloved pet.  Our little Kali is at the end of her rope.  She has been a blessing on this house, a beautiful presence to the end.

Thank you.  I think it will be awhile before I can spend too much time on the computer.  At least it isn't too painful.

DR Jennifer while I agree with you regarding reading an eBook, doing so does not give me the same emotional connection as holding a book in my hands.  The more special the book, the stronger the emotional connection.

Yesterday, I uploaded the latest play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS series to the U.S. Copyright office.

It's a 3-character piece about 2 famous stars, centered around the making of a 1950s "B" movie.

I'm delaying actually publishing the piece until I hear from the licensing department of the studio that owns the movie.  I'm hoping that they will allow me to use a poster from the old movie on the cover of my book.

My next play is also centered around the making of a 1950s movie, owned by the same studio, so I'm hoping that they will let me use a poster for my cover of that book also.

Good luck with the posters, Druxy!

Shoulder vibes for DR JANE.

Thank you.  I really can't figure out what triggered this which is annoying since I won't know how to avoid triggering the problem again.  Granted it is my bad shoulder, still I normally know why it is worse than usual.
