Okay, I got out the STOP THE WORLD album, and upon really thinking about it for a bit, had to conclude that I probably hadn't heard it in over thirty years. Ouch. So I put it on (this is the LP we're talking about) and listened to the first couple of tracks. Which led to me listening to the next couple of tracks. Before I knew it, I'd played the whole thing.
You probably have to be in the mood to enjoy it like I just did, but we'll blame BK's photo for putting me there!

What a unique sound. It was downright refreshing. Do people do the Newley shows these days? It seems like you could pull it off, but I'm a poor judge of that.
I don't know if it's ever been remixed/remastered/reissued, but the recording leaves something to be desired. But that could also be this American pressing of a London LP. London recordings made in England were wonderful, and I wonder if I can find a British one of this. Anyway, a perfect trip down memory lane.
