Lights are completely out in the kitchen - not a breaker or fuse problem.  There's a short somewhere - they've been flickering on and off occasionally for the last few months, and I guess it finally just gave up.  Called the handyman who hopefully can get someone here today.

MY QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"The musicals had a good happy feeling, saying that the world is a better place.  They say it's not reality, but who cares?  There's too much reality these days."

ANY GUESSES DR'S???

HINT:  BK worked with this person.

We had a tornado warning an hour or so ago.  There was a thunderstorm for a short time and it seems to have stopped for now.

My question for ASK BK DAY

When you were doing episodes of television shows at Columbia and Fox and other studios.....did you have your makeup done on the set/soundstage - or was there a studio makeup department in another building?  Who was the best makeup/hair person you worked with on TV or movies?

Make-up was always done on the set, unless it was location and then there'd be a trailer.  Mel Berns was makeup on the Partridge Family - he was great - did bunches of stuff at Columbia with him.  I also did a few shows with one of the Westmore folks.

My new book of parodies, this one "climate and global warming sung to the oldies" - is now up on Amazon.  I think this link should work.

I was supposed to be at yhe dentist getting a root canal tonight but the dentist called me a half hour before the appointment (called personably not one of his staff) to apologize and say that a close family fried had passed and he needed to go to the service.

I'm thrilled to tell you that orchestrating the LA show will be Lanny Meyers.  As you all know, he orchestrated many albums for me, and did all my songs on the Sandy Bainum album.

But so you also know, I went to our very own elmore first - but for various reasons, that's just not viable for him on this particular project.

It's too bad that Larry isn't able to do it, but congrats on getting Lanny!
