I have about 30 pages left in this novel about Thomas Hardy. I need to finish it, because I'm tired of dreaming about this depressing man. I don't remember much of the dreams except that he's in them.

The last time a book had me dreaming, I woke up at dawn one morning and rushed into the bathroom to look at my neck in the mirror.   I was reading Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" at the time.

I have begun to think of Thomas Hardy as one of the undead.

Friday morning greetings!  I woke up about 7am, not because I was coughing and choking but because I'd slept well and was ready for coffee.  Still not 100%, but so-o-o-o much better.

Home and waiting for the Time Warer service man.

I am so embarrassed: I've been asking my doctor for a referral to an osteopath; I meant an orthopedist.

Did I mention it's Friday in Oakland?

It's nowhere NEAR noon yet.

Sigh.

The Time Warner man, whose name was Tremayne, came with a young lady from Time Warner, and I now have a new DVR and a work request for March 14 to replace the old cable. It's over 26 years old and he thinks its deterioration may be part of my problem.

I have a bit of house cleaning to do to make one section of my apartment accessible.

You are correct DR RLP.....I don't know what happens to people once they get inside the beltway.  Maybe it's just a case of "Everyone else is getting theirs, I'm not going to miss out......"

It takes an osteopath to translate it accurately.

Back from a cup of clam chowder, an omelet and a bagel.  I got really full from the soup and left a third of the omelet, something I never do.

I couldn't figure it out at all. ::)

I met Ian Gude, one of my Facebook friends, for coffee this afternoon. He's in town from England and on his way to LA.  Did your ears burn, BK? He was telling me how much he enjoyed seeing on of your Kritzerland shows when he was last in LA.

I got the eBook and it looks good...so far.  Right now, I'm reading "Seveneves" by Neal Stephenson.  I've never read any of his stuff before, but I really like this.
