Back for a moment. Saw 13 again - I really do loathe everything about the show - it's so wrongheaded at every turn and I find the whole thing unfunny and off-putting, frankly. It's two adults trying to be kid like and failing, because they always sound like adults trying to be kid like - it comes off as smarmy. And the jokes? Those aren't even written so they attempt to sound like a thirteen year old is saying them. The kids were cute - not as good as Barry's first group last year and it needed some energy, but I always enjoy seeing the kids give it what they've got.

By the way, in storage I found some sealed Howard Hanson CDs - I'll let you all know about them when I come back. Mr. Hanson is just about my all-time favorite American composer.

Well, it's time for me to get ready for TAO's last Saturday night performance of "On the Verge." The show closes tomorrow, but I'm house managing again tonight. From what I've heard, tonight should be one of the more fuller houses than what they've been having, so that's good.

HA! At last the drop down menus on the theatre site have been updated, so I can work on those.

Of course the only ones people are interested in are for the Kids Workshops.....they've already started emailing and posting on the Facebook page: When can we sign up.....what are the ages.....what's happening.....we need to know.....

Of course these are people who NEVER come to another show at the theatre, never donate a penny to us, make the worst mess when they come for their one night, don't follow directions for parking or anything. And they are very obnoxious to the staff and directors.....IMPOSSIBLE.

And most of their special snowflakes can't even be heard from the stage - those that bother to learn their lines that is.

I HATE THE TIME AND EFFORT we have to put forward for these useless workshops. Of course NONE of the kids ever audition for a show either.... And last year one of the little bastards stole my starter's pistol.
