I miscalculated the length of their service and slipped in just six the Pastor was beginning his sermon so I ended up worshipping with them so well

The after sermon hymn was A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, which was written by Martin Luther.  I thanked the choir and Pastor for making a Lutheran feel at home.

There I was offered  various samples.... A small bowl of imported Italian pasta with an imported Italian tomato sauce,  boarshead smoked ham, honey turkey, smoked Gouda, a chocolate donut made fresh in front of my eyes, maple flavored cracker thins....

DR Jane I saw on goodreads that you are reading Find Her by Lisa Gardner (which I just finished). What do you think?  I loved this book!  My first 5 star book of 2016.

I am sure it is why I had the horrible nightmare the other night.  Other than that it is well written, maybe her best book.

Oh yes it is chilling!  It is much more a psychological thriller than any of her previous books.

They actually made a donut right there before your eyes?  How long did you have to wait for it?

"Mama, Look Sharp" took no time ar all. "Cool, conservative Men" took me two and a half hours, but I'm all caught up with Joshie. It isn't a huge score, so there are only a few numbers to go.

DR Elmore, are you basically proofing parts, etc.?  Does the original full score survive?  Questions, questions...

DR VIXMOM - miscalculating length has caused me much more dire circumstances than it did you.

Comcast Internet was down ALL morning......but we seem to be working now.

The show in the notes sounds like just the kind of show I HATE - mostly for the reasons that MR BK wrote.

Vixmom and I must have enjoyed a similar high quality upbringing.  When people offer us food and drink, do we say no?  Absolutely not!  We are exceedingly gracious.  And polite.  And sociable.

Sorry about the arthritis. Have you tried hyaluronic acid? My favorite is Life Extension's Fast-Acting Joint formula. I've ben very impressed with it.

I have not seen any of this year's nominated films. Netflix hasn't helped; they seem to have a moratorium on new releases these days. But I shall drop by, just the same. What would the world be like without comments from those who know nothing?

I've been watching the Australian mini-series A PLACE TO CALL HOME. Noni Hazelhurst, who plays a manipulating matriarch, is wonderful. The whole cast is excellent. It can be quite riveting.

Today's fresh hell:  someone removed $200 from my Citibank account yesterday.  The theft occurred at an ATM on Park Avenue and 75th Street.  Since this is the second time in the past four months this has happened, I believe the source of obtaining credit card info is the Metrocard booths in the subway stops.  Most of the stops no longer have attendants and I believe the Metrocard booths are being rigged to steal information.

Color me really pissed at the moment.
