Well, you've read the notes, the notes were all about the Oscars and race, and now it is time for you to post until the Oscar-winning cows come home.

I can't comment on the Oscars because I haven't watched them all...except that I will comment that I wasn't impressed with what I saw.  Just not very good, like most everyone else has said.

Good morning, all! Saturday night I slept well, last night I slept terribly.  I am sure that by 2:00 this afternoon I will need a nap.

Today, I've got work with Joshie in his new office at City Center. I also need to reschedule an appointment on March 11 since that's the orchestra reading of the new 1776 scores.

I saw nothing of the Awards and I apologize for missing last night's partay. I planned to be in bed no later than 10:00, and I knew that if I got caught up in the ceremony and HHW festivities I'd never accomplish that,

I had dinner with an old friend from high school last night, so I missed everything.  Doesn't sound like I missed much.

Good morning. I don't see movies and I don't have a tv, so I had nothing to add to the partay last night.

TOD:

Midway through the broadcast, I went into my office and finished writing the first draft of my new play.

Does that answer the question?

TOD. Part 2:

I have every Best Picture winner in my DVD collection.

Thankfully, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD didn't win that award, because that would have ended the tradition.

I was bored with that film ten minutes in.

I still have to see THE REVENANT and ROOM.  Also, THE BIG SHORT.

Waiting on RedBox.

I watch Mad Max Fury Road and I didn't like. Technically it was great and I am sure it deserved all the Oscars it won last night. At one point my dog rolled over and landed on the remote and the film advanced 15 minutes. Since it look like what was happening for the jump I decided not to go back to see what I missed.

I also watch Irving Berlin's Blue Skies. A Jukebox musical. People complain about Broadway doing so many jukebox musicals, but Hollywood did it well before and at least the songs were great.

KINDLE COUNTDOWN DEAL: HAIL ON THE CHIEF!

A Kindle Countdown Deal begins today  (about 8 am PT) on my stage play, HAIL ON THE CHIEF!, a non-political political comedy that asks the question: “What would you do if you hated your next door neighbor, and he’d just been elected President of the United States?”

This is the straight play that, a few years ago and with the help of BK, we adapted into a musical.

This one-week sale starts with the book priced at 99 cents, and then escalates every day or two until it reaches the regular price of $5.00 at the end of the week.  A similar Countdown in the UK also begins today.  So, act fast!

The play is also available in a paperback edition and as an audio download.

Monday morning greetings!  I made it to the end of the Oscar broadcast, but crashed as soon as it was over.  Richard had given up long before.

I used to watch the Oscars, but I don't miss not seeing them. I do read the list and get on with my life.

In years past, I did enjoy seeing Steve Lawrence and Sammy Davis Jr. do a medley of movie songs that were Not Even Nominated, as it was called. Such a thing would be impossible nowadays because people wouldn't know the songs.

I bought a new wireless keyboard & mouse for my computer.  I am liking it much better than the T I N Y keyboard & mouse that came with it.  Perhaps my typing will improve.
